Book 🕐

I’m hoping to write a book soon about bipolar disorder. What’s something you wish someone else understood about it? What’s something you want your children to understand about it?

Instability after birth but want 1 more baby

My husband and I have decided we want another baby to give our son a sibling… I experienced instability from severe bipolar 1 with mixed episodes after the first pregnancy so severe I haven’t been able to work and have been on disability… he’s 9 months old and I’m still on disability…Has anyone experience this and done family planning again? I think if my psychiatrist thought it would wreck my mental health he would not have brought it up with me first and he did… How did you approach it if you experienced this or something similar? …I will have to do an IVF transfer with progesterone and estrogen for one more (my husband had cancer but we have 3 embryos left)… so that means I have more time to get stable before I do another transfer.

Maybe I’m the problem

I’m so tired of being lonely. I’m so tired of spending all day at home doing nothing but parenting, cleaning, and working. Just to have a toddler who’s toddlering and doesn’t listen, a dirty house, and no money. My husband doesn’t understand how it feels to feel trapped in your own home and your own life cause he’s content with never going out and spending all his free time at home but I can’t take it anymore. Being 29w pregnant and hormonal isn’t helping either. I wonder if it’d be different if I had a friend to come and spend time with me but I don’t. I have “friends” who I haven’t seen since I was in my first trimester, and I have a friend who’s like a sister but she lives out of state and has her own life and issues going on to worry about reaching out everyday. I feel so alone. I try to reach out with little to no response from anyone and trying to talk to new people is hard cause I feel like no matter how much I try and I put myself out there to meet new people it doesn’t go further than literally one or two messages before I’m ghosted. Is it me? Am I not as friendly as I think I am? Am I that boring? Am I doing something wrong? I know I can’t go do fun stuff all the time cause money isn’t a luxury I have to spend outside of food bills but I thought I was at least decent company to have. What’s so wrong with me that the universe thinks I need to be and feel so alone!? I don’t understand.

Looking for advice please as a partner

Hi, i am so sorry if this isn’t the right group to post but I’m desperate for advice. My partner suffered with mania in 2023 and got eventually admitted into hospital was psychosis. He has been fine since and been off meds for 1.5 years. Recently he has been under a lot of pressure starting his own business and working a lot. Recently he has been very argumentative and I thought it was just because of stress. I think he now might be experiencing mania where he keeps on having big ideas, he doesn’t stop talking about his ideas, a conversation could be about something completely different but he will still bring it back there. If I try to mention anything to him he accuses me of being negative and that I’m the only person stressing him when “her is extremely happy right now” I’m just not sure what to do to get him the help he needs before if it get bad to the point he will need to be in hospital again. Any advice would be appreciated so much ! I’m extremely drained but also very concerned about him xx
