Gluten Free Mamas & Kids

I couldn't find a group that was for only gluten-free post so I thought I'd make one. My daughter and I have a gluten sensitivity, but my husband doesn't. I'm pregnant and due in May 2021. My first pregnancy was rough so let's see how this one goes. I may not be on as frequently due to pregnancy life.
Let's help each other make feeding ourselves and kiddos easier and fun. Please feel free to post anything linked to the gluten free lifestyle. Please be respectful and kind to others.

Baby & toddler food

Toddler with ceolic disease

Hello, we’ve just got results back last week that our little boy who is 3 years old has a gluten allergy.. he screams in the middle of the night from pain and we are learning fast about cross contamination etc. my worry is that he’s got birthday party’s coming up & I just don’t know if other parents are taking it serious. Do I pack a plate of sandwiches and snacks incase there’s nothing gluten free at the party? How does everybody else do it?! Please share your experience.. there’s so much to learn.

Coeliacs

Just looking for some advice! I (baby’s mam) have coeliac, how do I go about with my son? Do I keep him gluten free for a certain amount of time or do I introduce gluten straight away and look for possible symptoms? Just have no info of what to do.

Will baby be GF if mamma is?

I have a known wheat allergy and when I eat even a crumb of bread, I get instantly sick with nausea, hives, diarrhea, headache and fatigue. Any more than that I get anaphylaxis. I have to talk to my daughters pediatrician but has anyone experienced being GF with an allergy/intolerance and then having their baby also be GF? My husband isn't GF and eats bread in the house and I'm wondering if I should just avoid gluten/wheat all together with the baby or if we should try to introduce it to her when she starts to eat foods.

Gluten free toddler

Still awaiting tests but my toddler is definitely gluten free and I feel like there’s no help available until she’s diagnosed we’re stuck in a rut of just giving her the same things any ideas on simple snack and meals I work full time so although I would love to make forms scratch every day I just don’t always have the time

Also If anyone would be willing to let me message to ask a few questions about the initial appointment and testing who has been through similar with a young child that would be amazing

Picture so we don’t get lost
