Weight regulation

I’m Plus Sized and severely obese for my age (24) but I love horses and want to re learn how to ride…please help!

Hello! I’m Finola, I used to spend time around horses a few years ago when I was recovering from severe mental illness and have got City Guilds Level 1 (care and riding) and Level 2 (care) qualifications, but since I’m not enrolled at any bespoke provision anymore, as I’m recovered mentally - my weight has piled back on 🥺🥺

I wondered if anyone has any advice for me fitness regaining wise? And should I wait until I’m healthier to ride again or start now?? 🤨

I’m Loughborough, Leicestershire based, UK 🇬🇧 and love being around horses I’m just very unfit and out of practice / low on confidence these days….

If anyone has any tips or knows of any good riding places, has any RDA horses themselves locally that I could be around - I don’t want to volunteer as that’s quite physical work and I enjoy the riding part more …

Thanks so much for reading!

Vaccinations

Vaccinations

So my horse is due a flu and tetanus vaccine in 2 days I've completed forgotten about it!! He is currently out and lives with a herd 24/7. I'm not thinking of bringing him back into work anytime soon, plan is for him to stay out there. Do I need to get his vaccine renewed?

I’m having my first child in Feb and I have just started to get a part loaner 3 days a week to help out with my mare. This is great for now but what did all you mums do when baby is here ? I’m so worried I will have no time for my mare ever again 😭

Making friends

Friends ?

My daughter 4 been doing riding lessons and been on horses since she was two. Loves them, she likes the bigger ones the most. I'm not from a horsey back ground and a old friend of mine said I have no buisness getting into the horse world due to it. But my daughter love them so I'm trying. I love them two but not much experience with them. And occasional hack is my only experience. I'm not a great rider and do need to learn properly.

Anyone out there happy to become friends and let kiddies play and even have patience to teach me to ride to gone on hacks out ect together

I'm Gillingham kent me7 X
