When did you see a difference?

Today is week 4 of going dairy free and a lot of her symptoms are still there, when did you start to see a difference?

Skipping milk ladder

Has anyone skipped the milk ladder and decided to introduce dairy slowly on their own?

Nappy check please

LO is nearly 5 months. Been on neocate 4 weeks now. I’m concerned that there’s a more solid bit than what she’s ever had before and the rest is quite liquidy and some of it is a lot lighter colour than usual. Previously on Pepti but eczema & mucus in poo remained so switched to neocate. We’ve used carobel since she was about 2 months. Thanks

Weaning help

After going back and forward with the GP since my almost 5 month old was born they’ve finally suggested my little girl could have CMPA.

Symptoms since birth included but not all; -colic/reflux diagnosis due to constant crying and unsettled behaviour since birth -weeping cradle cap that won’t clear -going at least 10 days without pooing but could be upto 14 days (told on numerous occasions that this is “normal” because she’s EBF) and then having explosive diarrhoea and then the cycle starting again again since birth -constantly grabbing at her skin at any opportunity, she’s constantly covered in scratches on her head legs and body -developing eczema type rashes on legs, arms and trunk in the last month which led to the CMPA suggestion!

I have now cut out dairy for a month and whilst there has been a vast improvement in the constipation there’s been no change in the rashes and discomfort she seems to be having with her skin. The GP suggested that I continue with a DF diet due to the positive impact on her digestion whilst breastfeeding which is fine and has left it at that with no further follow up or appointments planned unless we want to go onto prescription formula.

However, I’m now at a bit of a loss when it comes to weaning as she approaches 5 months! Do I keep her DF or introduce it as usual? I’ve seen a lot of mention of the milk ladder is this something I’d have to do! Any support or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks if you’ve got this far!!
