Burnt Umber Brasserie Hackney Wick 1/10

A nightmare to manoeuvre into and made to feel like a burden from the moment we arrived. Very little space for pushchairs and once you park up and think you’re not in the way I was told couldn’t have pushchair in the aisle and then guy who worked their shoved it into a corner of the shop area. 100% not for groups. Made to feel even worse when friend arrived with another pushchair. Couldn’t wait to leave Does have a high chair and changing facilities but definitely not baby friendly. Food is pricey.

Victoria Park Hub 7/10

Nice cafe and always full of mums and pushchairs with plenty of highchairs. Can sometimes be abit of squeeze if there’s lots of pushchairs/people with dogs etc. Changing facilities are ok but cold as they’re not the cafes own but the parks. The changing area has its own room and there’s a separate disabled toilet big enough to wheel your pram in for a wee.

The other park cafe is the pavilion which is definitely not child friendly and the toilets are just park toilets with no baby changing.

Finsbury Park Cafe 4/10

The food is nice and large portions, but I wouldn’t recommend for mum and baby groups, especially if you’re going nearer to closing time. Staff just want to get out of there and make it known to you. It’s fairly spacious but not a very relaxed atmosphere - no music and quite echoey so a baby’s cry is heard loud. Chairs screech against floor which can easily wake a sleeping baby. Very open with windows all around. Changing facilities are in the public toilet to the left of the cafe (if facing out from the cafe), so not ideal.,
