Preparing dogs for baby arrival

Hi incredible Mama’s & Dog Mama’s! I'm expecting my first baby in February. Any advice or resources to prepare my dogs for the baby. I have two black lab mixes, 11 (Jax) and 7 (Lola) years old. They are sweet dogs but they have not been around babies or newborns before. They also are used to sleeping in the bedroom and not having closed doors. Trying to decided good sleep arrangements and ensure everyone is happy & safe. They don’t jump and are gentle but some friends said “You never know” which makes me want to prepare my dogs more. I’ve played baby noises and cries and they don’t seem to react besides an initial head turn.

Pets and Babies!

This is my fur baby and I am expecting my first child in January. I am so excited to watch him step into his role as a big brother. I would love to see photos of everyone's pets with your bump or children 😊

Dog Habits during pregnancy

Hey ☺️ I'm still very early (4wks5days) and have the best dog/best friend ever. Just curious to know how your dogs acted towards you during your pregnancy?

Neutering/ spaying or mating?

Hi mamas, my beautiful boy who is a 2 years old Labrador needs to be either neutered or needs a partner for mating, I am new here in America and I do not know how or where to find a mate for him, as I would rather prefer letting him mate than getting him neutered. Please help me.❤️

Worrying about toddler stage

Hi everyone,

I have quite a large black GSD. He is super friendly (sometimes too much) with people but reactive to other dogs. He likes A LOT of attention and because being a working breed needs a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.

My LO is now 4 months old and getting more active by the minute. In pregnancy i was so so anxious about how I would cope with the two of them, up until now it has been hard to manage them both, but im constantly worried about when LO starts to crawl. We dont have a massive house and a lot of space. We have babygates at the kitchen and to the entrance to the lounge. I dont want to have to keep the dog constantly in the garden whilst LO is crawling around but want LO to have the space he needs to do this.

AGH! Help! Anyone out there with big dog/dogs who have been through it?

TIA XX
