Edmonton

My 2 year old has been great at sleeping since the start, slept well in their room. Now, they will fight bedtime every night, crawl into my room at some point and I keep wondering does it really matter? They are only this young once and I enjoy cuddling/comforting them! I just don’t want to develop bad habits since they’ve always been a pretty good sleeper. I think my husband has already screwed up laying in the bedroom until they fall asleep. I get SO mad that his phone light is on while they try to sleep. Anyway - thoughts?

I’m part of a group of moms who meet up every Friday morning for a hike in and around Edmonton.

We would love to expand our group and welcome anyone who is looking for a bit of outdoor motherhood connection to come join us! Moms with littles of all ages are welcome to join us but currently our kids range from NB to 2 years old.

Our next hike is this Friday @ 10:00AM at Strathcona wilderness centre. We have a pretty relaxed 5km route planned that is jogging stroller friendly but a carrier is recommended.

Does anybody have any recommendations for daycares or dayhomes that may be accepting new children within the next month, between West end/ Edgemont area and Summerside?

Need some advice, I’m a 25-year-old woman. I have a three year-old child. My partner job is closing and he’s been with the company for 10 years. We’ve been saving to buy a house for the last eight years and still can’t seem to be able to in Ontario , Peterborough area he really would like to move out to Edmonton as he is family out there that can help him get a job that he can easily make more money than he has made here, but I am very hesitant as I have young siblings and other younger family members that I am close to, and I do not want to lose contact with, and the idea of being there alone out there scares me and it makes me really nervous to take my three year-old away from her grandparents and aunts and uncles 😔 so my questions has anyone moved from the Peterborough or Ontario area to Edmonton with young children and waswas it worth it? My husband thinks that this is the best option that we’ll be able to actually own a house and live more comfortably and save/give more for her education.
