Baby care

Parsonage Turner Syndrome

Hi ladies. I am a mother to a 9 month old who is having cleft palate surgery and ear tubes placed next week but I’ve also been dealing with extreme pain in my shoulder and ribs for about a month. I was originally diagnosed with pericarditis and linear plantar collapsed lungs. My pain in my shoulder continued and got worse and i was just diagnosed yesterday with parsonage turner syndrome. I’ve already lost some strength in my right arm and was informed today by my neurologist that I’m still in stage 1 and by the time i make it to stage 2, i will lose almost all function in my arm and it will take some years to regain full strength/function. I am a single mother and I’m trying to see if anyone else has dealt with this or has any advice.

Early pregnancy symptoms

Pain in ribs and under.

Hi I’m looking for some help to see if anyone has experienced anything like this as the doctors don’t seem to help. For about 6 months now I’ve been waking up in agony from the pain I get on my ribs and under my ribs. It hurts to breathe, cough, sneeze, laugh or even move. I have to get help to get out of bed. Some days it gets better as the day goes by but others I can barely move thru out the day. I’m at a point where when I’m sleeping I can’t even find a comfortable position to sleep and no matter how I sleep or what I take I’m in constant pain. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

I’m also 8 months pp and had a c section

Lupus/Advice

Anonymous because I don’t want my family knowing right now. I know this group is for more about mom’s stuff, but I am a mom dealing with this. I found out Friday that I may have lupus and I have been struggling really bad with pain every single day. And I’ve read a lot of the issues that come along with it. It’s already caused my lung function to drop into the 40s permanently along with I’m struggling to even pee because it’s messing with my kidneys. I barely eat because I feel like I’m gonna throw up all the time and I’m so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open to walk most days. I have a three-year-old and a seven-year-old and I’m currently struggling every single day to get up to take care of them. I guess I’m just seeking advice or maybe someone to talk to that is dealing with something similar or the same as me. I also am just seeking advice on what I can do for the pain. Unfortunately it’s actual bone and joints that hurt so over-the-counter medicines don’t help but if you have anything herbal that is known to work I’d love to know. Again, just seeking someone who is dealing with something the same or similar to me. Advice on natural pain management. Advice on how to deal with this while taking care of 2 boys and working. Any advice is welcomed. Sincerely, a very tired momma🫩🤍

Pregnancy Week by Week: Second Trimester

Tilt table test for POTS

Has anyone had the tilt table test? If so, how long did it take? I've been to see my doctor today and they've referred me for one, just wondering what to expect
