Signs of labor

Cervix still shortening with Cerclage

I have a 4 yr old child, followed by 2 losses. Last loss was at 18 weeks which they blame on shorten cervix. I’m pregnant again and had cerclage put in at 12 weeks. 15 weeks had a checkup; told all is well, cervix measuring good at 3.8. A week later, I pee at lunch time, lost my mucus plug with a little blood. Told to go to Hospital immediately. Was there 7 hours, trying multiple ultrasound machines saying they couldn’t get a measurement (excuses like baby in the way, I’m having contractions—which I don’t feel, so they can’t get an accurate picture). 8PM finally told me my cervix is measuring at 2.1. I will go on progesterone.

How many weeks will progesterone buy me?
I’m afraid I’m going to lose another baby if my cervix continues at this rate.

Anyone have the cerclage redone/ put on a second one?

Give me the good & bad so I can mentally prepare. I will see my doctor in 3 days.

C-section

Borderline cervix

Got diagnosed with a borderline short cervix at 25.7mm due to an emergency c section at 9cm with my previous pregnancy. They didn’t prescribe anything just check it again in 2 weeks. Has anyone else had similar? Should I ask for progesterone?

Pregnancy Week by Week: Second Trimester

short cervix 2nd pregnancy

so i'm 24 weeks pregnant tomorrow, this is my second pregnancy. my first one i had a short cervix and made it to 41 weeks only being on modified bed rest and progesterone. i just started progesterone again but i genuinely have no help my husband works long hours and so does my family, so i have a toddler who's a lot, running around and i just cannot even sit most of the time unless she's literally asleep. i feel like im pushing myself so much this time, and the doctors are being so harsh even more than last time their not being positive at all, telling me if i don't lay down all day and like stop everything im going to go into labor despite making it to 41 weeks last pregnancy. i just feel like im failing everything right now, every day has been so hard. im looking for some support, or if anyone has gone through their second pregnancy with a short cervix and a toddler ?

Pregnancy scans

Positive stories please ✨

At almost 23w and my cervix is measuring short at 25.6mm! This is due to a medical procedure I had 7 years ago to remove soft cells. Drs don’t seem to be too worried, as it’s on the cusp, but I’m having a scan next week and the consultant will decide what the best course of action is. Has anyone with a similar length cervix made full term without intervention? Or am I to expect a pessary or stitch? And any symptoms to be aware of with either interventions?
