Type 1 diabetic Mamas.

Hey mamas, I know this group isfor mamas with diabetes, but I hope you could advise me. My 20mo was just diagnosed with this and we have been in ICU this whole week. I feel like my world shattered and life is over. Could I please have any words of hope and encouragement that my baby girl can have a fullfilling happy life? 🙏🏼🙏🏼😭😭😭

Hi all, hoping someone can help. I’m fling from England to Spain with jet2 soon and will need to take my insulin, needles and Dexcom sensor onboard, I’ll take my prescription letter with me (insulin will be under 100ml or liquid) does anyone know if I will also need a letter from doctor or will prescription with my details on be enough? Thank you ☺️

Just need to vent here a little. Since having my second child, who is now 15 months, I've definitely slacked off what feels like a lot with taking care of myself. I know i can do better because during my pregnancy my a1c was 6.4. I moved a couple months after having my daughter and I've only been to the doctor once since living here🫣 I just feel like a financial burden since im also a SAHM. But I need to force myself to go to the doctor because my prescription refills are getting low but I just get anxiety of how bad my a1c may be. And I've been diabetic for 22 years and it just feels like a drag at times

Hospital team are strongly pushing to induce me at 37-38 weeks. I understand the risks but believe it’d be better to allow my body to go into labour when ready. I’m 26 with 70% in target most weeks and good hba1c. If intervention is needed after going into spontaneous labour i’d accept it when medically necessary instead of just in case. They were so harsh through the conversation i’m starting to question my gut and view on it though…Has anyone also refused induction or have experience on this?

Has anyone experienced skin reactions to any adhesive in pregnancy? I’ve been on the ypsomed pump since beginning of the year with no issues, and Dexcom CGM for years, again with no issues. The moment I fell pregnant, I’ve experienced red, sore, swollen itchy sites for both after removal. To the point it scars my skin and itchiness lasts for weeks. I’ve tried barrier spray, I’ve tried removing with adhesive remover wipes, nothing makes a difference
