Is having a Cesarean birth the best choice for you?
If you’ve already experienced a C-section, was it planned or did something come up during your labor that changed the course?
A Cesarean birth IS a birth, with all the challenges, joys, emotions and transitions that come with a vaginal birth.
But, it also involves its own set of risks (short and long term), and potentially, both physical and mental fallouts.
Therefore, this type of birth deserves more discussion, more knowledge, more accurate, evidence-based information.
There is a reason why some healthcare providers have much higher rates of C-sections than others. Does it have to do with their schooling, their philosophy, hidden agendas?
Although Cesareans can be beneficial - even life-saving - you have control over decreasing the chances of ending up with one.
Let’s talk about this and also, about the options you have for a “gentle” Cesarean, should one become necessary.
