Did you prepare yourself for pregnancy. (My last pregnancy I didn’t). This time around I want to. I’m taking iron, because last pregnancy I was anemic. What else should I do/take to prepare my body?

I was taking prenatals long before I got pregnant, but that was it for me.

You should take some pre natal vitamins that contain folic acid

I started prenatals 3 mo this before trying to get pregnant and are very clean (less processed more fresh). Also stopped drinking the last month. Good luck!

In addition to a multivitamin and folic acid and iron supplements, try a calcium and magnesium supplement (which will help with cramps in pregnancy).
Another thing to prepare your body in addition to supplements is to look into pelvic floor health videos on YouTube and also yoga videos on YouTube for pregnancy. Think of childbirth as a marathon you have to train for, not just nourish yourself for.

There are definitely preconception diets. Start taking a prenatal with FOLATE (not folic acid like most OBs recommend 🤦♀️) and eat eggs and liver. The recommendation is 6 months to make sure you have adequate nutrition for babe and postpartum.
