Has anyone given salmon to 6 months old baby. Any reaction/ allergy? I introduced solids when my boy turned 5 months and have given fruits, veggies, porridge and baby cereals. So far he has not shown allergy to anything.

You can give him any fish and meat now, but introduce it the same as you would with anything new, just a spoonful to check for reaction, :)

I did and she spat it across the kitchen and spent ages heaving 😂

I gave my daughter various forms of salmon not long after we started her on solids at 6 months and now it's her favorite food! I made my own pureed foods and tried adding cooked flaked salmon to it but it just made the (sweet potato) puree grainy. It was more for introducing the flavor of the fish. Afterwards, we had more success with just mincing or mashing the cooked salmon into mashed foods.
I would add a small drizzle of EVOO or avocado to her purees and mashes for added good fat/calories and to help it be swallowed easier. This may be helpful for foods/fishes that taste on the drier side.
I also ate a lot of salmon and other fish during pregnancy and lactation so she may have already been accustumed to the flavor. Good luck on your salmon journey! It is so essential for babies!
