Hey mamas! I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation for which shampoo and conditioner to use that will keep my toddler’s curls moisturized and soft.

Aunt Jackie's Did you finally get any? Did they work? Thanks

Also if you use oil, use something light like grape seed oil or argon oil. Stay away from using coconut oil straight. It can make her hair feel dry and brittle.

I use Not Your Mothers for my kids. I also use their hair mask as well. I put it in my daughters hair after I shampoo it, and let it sit there for like 10 minutes before I rinse it off. I also brush it out when it has conditioner in it and when it is wet. When she comes out the shower, I also put leave in conditioner in her hair as well.

Don’t use monat.. 😬

Why not Monat? It’s toxin free, naturally based, clinically tested and approved by specialists in dermatology and ophthalmology 🙃 Better than thick suffocating oils that don’t penetrate the hair and weigh it down 😘

Always buy products geared to their curl type. My two daughters have 3c and 3a so different products work for both of them

Look into a cowash

Monat junior for sure. It doesn’t have heavy oils that hit on the hair and scalp. It has least absorbing moisturizing ingredients that are chemical and tear free. If she has lower porosity you can always use one of monats oil based conditioner which is also not heavy but extremely nourishing

most curl shampoo will do her hair good plenty of conditioner and put coconut oil in it after wash and itll make it lovely and soft

Camille Rose all the way and it’s all natural, highly recommended!!

MONTA junior!

I use Shea Moisture for shampoo, and Carols Daughter for conditioner. Seems to work nicely, but I'm still figuring out after wash products

You can also take your favorite condish, mix it with water in a spray bottle and use it as a detangler and for refreshing.

Not sure! We use Johnson’s baby for soft and shiny hair

MONAT juniors line is safe and made with natural ingredients. I use it for my baby. 🤍 let me know if you need more information.

'As I am' coconut cowash for "shampoo" And Shea moisture conditioner that's curly girl approved. I would start now trying the curly girl method with her so she can start her curl journey with healthy hair!

Modern nature. Only.

Any shampoo that doesn’t contain alcohol is great. I also suggest sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. Carol’s Daughter has a great line of products.

I use Shea Moisture in my hair and plan to use their kids line for my daughter once she's born. I swear by it for my own curls.

Join the curly girl method group on Facebook for good tips! Don’t shampoo, just cowash. And don’t use products with alcohol or silicones. Comb when wet, don’t brush.

Miss Jessie pillow soft curls is a really good leave-in

I use anything that doesn’t contain silicones. I find they do make our hair dryer. I truly love ORS monoi oil line but I can’t find it anywhere except amazon (no “ethnic” beauty supplies near me 💔). That and wild growth hair oil. I use the loc method with wild growth and our curls are so on point! Also satin pillowcases

I use Just for me hair milk for my son and it works wonders!!

Argon Oil shampoo

Honey Naturals works wonders! I found them via IG and they are based out of NY.

Baby Shea moisture

I use Honest brand. Don’t think it’s in stores so might have to order in online. It’s chemical free and hypoallergenic. Supposed to be really good and smells like lavender!!

TRY DIFFERENT THINGS FROM THE "ETHIC" HAIR CARE SECTION. ALL PRODUCTS WON'T WORK FOR HER HAIR BECAUSE ALL HAIR IS DIFFERENT BUT WATER IS KEY. WATER EQUALS MOISTURE SO DEFINITELY SPRAY WATER ON HER HAIR EVERYDAY AND BEFORE APPLYING ANY PRODUCTS.

I use Shea Moisture for my daughter. She’s half white half black but only has wavy hair. I know a couple people with type 3 hair who use it and love it too. My boyfriend has type 4 hair and we just started trying out Cantu’s men’s collection. Both are great brands for a wide range of hair types!

As a fellow curly girl, either Cantu for kids or shea moisture for kids.
