Baby Shower???

I am 24 weeks tomorrow and I love to be prepared. When is the normal time to have a baby shower given you're a first time momma? I'm due May 14, 2019...when would you have a shower and who usually plans it?

I’m 30w and my shower is mid-February. I asked for my mom to host it as close to 30w as possible so I had time to prep. Some women like it earlier, but I also haven’t felt like I’ve had the headspace to start putting the nursery together until just recently.

I’m due early April and I’m having mine 24th February! I think I’ve planned it out for the right time, I’ve already made a registry and I’ve already had items purchased and delivered to me so I’ve got my crib etc set up, so I know I have somethings already prepared, that was my only issue... leaving it too late and not knowing last minute if I’d have all I need! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am due February so I had my shower in November, 1. Because of holidays, didn’t want people to be spending on Christmas and our baby shower 2. I wanted to be able to get everything organized, washed and to see what I was missing and needed to buy myself. I got incredibly lucky and everything was bought off my registry. But I also wanted to look pregnant at my shower lol . I think around 30-34 weeks is a good time

Usually a close family member, or a close friend plans it. But you can totally plan your own baby shower!
Normally they are held between 30 & 38 weeks, but really it’s up to you! It’s important to send out invitations really early so you know people will actually show up!

I was due May 14, 2018 and I had my baby shower on April 7. I didn’t think it was too late at all. I did my gender reveal in March. People kept telling me it was too late but I thought it was fine. I also didn’t show until 7 months so I didn’t want to have a baby shower without a belly.

I planned my own with the help of my mother. I had mine at 29 weeks

I planned mine. You can do it whenever you want to. I did mine at 26 weeks pregnant. I’m glad I did because when I was 30+ weeks pregnant I was miserable. My feet hurt all the time. I barely got sleep. I think I’m the middle is the best time.

I was due in Aug 2018. And i had mine in July. But U could always do it round 6 or 7 months to make sure u have all the stuff for ur little one and ready too. It will never hurt to be little early with everything because u will never know when the baby will come.

You can have a shower for every single baby. A sprinkle what have you. There's no rules. The initial idea behind them was to shower the newborn baby and mama with gifts and food. After they got home and settled.

Due April 21st and mine is March 9th. I think there’s a good sweet spot: you don’t want to have it too early or risk having it too late. Both my mother and husband’s mother are hosting and I’m super fortunate to have their support and help!

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
