Please could someone explain the difference between baby grows and sleepsuits. I’ve got many onesies/sleepsuits(I think) with buttons on the bottom. What do kids need to wear once they are born? Two layers? Three layers?

I’m planning on a vest and baby grow for in the house depending on the weather or how warm your baby will be 💙 xx

There isn't a difference!! People call them different things!
The sleeping bags / grow bags that have been posted about below are completely different but some people and countries say sleep suits and some say baby grows - they all mean the all in ones! Depending on the temperature in the house baby will just need a baby grow on with a nappy in the day and then you can add or remove a thin blanket if needed. At night the sleeping bags are great and as another posted they will tell you what to wear based on temperature. Hope that helps

For me, sleepsuits are the all-in-ones that have feet and sleeves (sometimes integrated scratch mitts too).
Vests or bodysuits for me are the ones without legs, regardless of whether they have long, short or no sleeves. For an October baby I'd get a mix of different sleeve length vests and lots of sleepsuits. I feel like the weather in October could be almost anything.
Then sleeping bags are what you can use instead of sheets and blankets. They come in different togs like our duvets do and usually with a guide on the packaging so that you know what layers to put on underneath based on the room temperature. A good room thermometer is a good idea too.

When I looked originally it said that babygrow is a brand name like hoover, so they say sleepsuit instead. Not sure if this is correct though

Thank you everyone, you all have been incredibly helpful! I don’t know what I would do without the support here xx
