My friends mom said snickers dates. Its dates cut open with chocolate and peanut butter. Dates help and the chocolate and peanut butter are to make them more bearable if you don’t like dates. This was the link she sent to make them. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CNXPW5679/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I am 41 weeks today, 3 sweeps and 2 pessarys in and now contracting since 16:00 yesterday, but still waiting for his arrival! 😅

I have tried walking, medjool dates, birthing ball, everything before coming into hospital for induction and even then have still needed 2 pessarys so far

Thank you, we thought the same as both my partner and I are first borns and we're both 2 weeks early, and I had a dream we were having a boy and he arrived on the 16th. We are having a boy but he definitely did not come on the 16th 😂 contractions are getting quite strong now and waiting to move up to labour & delivery ward to be assessed and see where my body is at, fingers crossed it's good progress 🤞🏼
I wish you luck as well! X

Home birth at 40 +2! Baby has arrived

Really happy to say my baby has arrived safely after an incredible home birth. I'm so pleased to have gotten my home birth with my second child. The difference post birth is truly magical.

My 5 year old daughter was there to witness her baby brother come in the world. I had a lovely hot bath in the evening and we all laid on the sofa for the remainder of the day and watched strictly before heading to bed.

The birth overall was fast at 6hrs 30 mins. Although at the time it felt long and very intense.

Happy to share any further details on my birth as I know how much birth stories helped me when I was planning my home birth as I was outside of guidance with risk of PPH.

I’m so nervous, 1st ultrasound tomorrow

I stupidly did the sneak peek gender test at 7 weeks before I even had my first ultrasound. It says I’m having a girl. I have two boys currently. I’ve had a miscarriage before and I’m so worried this ultrasound is going to show something that isn’t a viable pregnancy. I feel like I know in my core that everything is OK but I have that nervous feeling of the unknown as well. I’m 8 weeks today. Idk why I’m posting lol I’m just so nervous.

Going out

Hi,

Might be a silly question but I'm a ftm and my baby is 4 weeks, me and my mum are going to a garden centre and want to take the baby, my question is, is that okay?

Did anyone else take their baby out at 4 weeks?

Elective C-Sections

Hi ladies,

I’ve got a question — are there any mums on here who have previously had an elective C-section and could guide me through the appointments you had leading up to your actual surgery date?

I’ve currently been attending my usual consultant appointments. At my most recent one, I signed some paperwork, collected my prescription for the medication I’ll need to take before the big day, and had my MRSA screening swabs done. I was then “discharged” from the appointment the same day.

However, I still have two more appointments booked in. I have no idea what the next one is for, so I was wondering if anyone might know what to expect or what it could be for?

I know the final appointment is the day before surgery and that’s for things like blood tests, a urine sample, blood pressure checks, etc.

Would really appreciate hearing what your experience was and what appointments you had leading up to your C-section. 🩷 x
