Peri menopause

My doctor keeps telling me I’m not experiencing perimenopause but I know I am. I’m 43 without a thyroid are there any suggestions that can help these hot flashes and mood swings?

Your Doctor knows your body better than you! So frustrating for you. Can you request to see another Doctor?

Try Doterra essential oils. I am in full blown menopause. I mix peppermint lavender and clary sage drops with witch hazel and put in a spray bottle. I spray my elbow pits wrists and back of knees at least twice a day. My flashes have greatly diminished. And not as intense. And I smell delicious too!

I also agree. Get a new doctor. Female if not already.

I’m 38 and also convinced I’m In peri menopause - my advice is to keep going back to your GP! Mine has finally done blood tests - though I know they’re not always accurate x

Hi everyone! I am new to this app. I’m 51 and have had 2-3 periods this year. I’ve also had terrible hot flashes too😥

I also take Provitalize probiotics. It helps with my appetite digestion and weight gain. I feel much better. Not as irritable and I sleep better.

You absolutely can be in perimenopause as early as your late 30s. Unfortunately many GPs simply don’t get the training needed to help women going through this transition. I’ve written a book The Perimenopause Solution. It’s a toolkit of tips and strategies about how to take back control of your hormones at this time. It covers nutrition, lifestyle, HRT, supplements and much much more. My co-writer is a menopause doctor. Check it out.

Im convinced in peri menopause also. I just turned 40, but feel like around 2 years or so. Gp said my bloods were ok though. No suggestion about what to do about my symptoms though!

Tara you can request a blood test that determines what stage you are at.
My doctor kept telling me i wasnt Perimenopause so i had the blood test that ended up proving him wrong.

I had the same problem. So I googled local doctor and the word menopause and found one which had the NICE guidelines on it. I changed drs, which was scary after 20 yrs but have now been on hrt for 3 months and I almost have my life back

That's so frustrating!!! Its awful not to be heard hey! 😭

It could be, everyone is different, I started peri at 49 but maybe earlier.

Peri & meno can start at any age after puberty. I was peri in my early 30s, and I know someone who was post meno at 19! There's a group here called M-Brace The Change that's full of info and ammunition to get the Drs to DO THEIR JOB! To be fair, training (certainly here in UK) is woefully inadequate, with menopause currently a half-day OPTIONAL module! Grrrrr!

Definitely have the blood test then you can do this 🖕to the doctor and have peace of mind. Anyone tried the magnet in the pants?

I answer this question A LOT!
I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this and you are right to listen to your body!
There’s more to hormone fluctuation than blood work!

Hi there, I'm new to this.
I've been reading all your messages, and I'm experiencing all these symptoms. I'm 45 and my doctor says I'm not. Frustrating. It's so great to see other women in the same boat haha.

Hi Tara! I went through a pretty sudden and natural menopause just after my 44th birthday (I’m neandly 47). I had a really hard time with the mainstream medical profession and walked away with very little advice or support. It’s a massive problem and one that I’m working hard to change the paradigm on. I found a some herbs really helpful for hot flashes - A combo of Black Cohosh, Dong Quai and Ashwaganda. This would need to be administered through an integrative GP or Naturopath. Highly recommend seeing a GP who has integrative health studies and specialises in women’s health. Regular GP’s have very little knowledge and it’s it a crying shame! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I’m so happy to help where I can 🤍

I started experiencing these issues early 40’s. Wow. So debilitating.
Here’s what I use now!
Natural. Effective. Amazing.
My experience is just so different now. I’m helping to educate other women that we don’t have to be miserable

I’m 53 now. Never felt better!

The following are good indications that you are going through the peri/menopause:1)your age: symptoms start for most women in mid 40s but can start earlier 2)changes to your periods -heavier or skipping 3) if you ask yourself the question ”what is happeningbto me?” meaning you don’t recognise yourself then chances are it might be peri: menopause. I hope this helps.

I have been experiencing the same thing. My primary care physician said my estrogen levels are where they should be. My Gynocologist said alot of times they would put a Woman on a low dose birth control but cant with me because i smoke. I know i shouldnt smoke and its a nasty habbit but very hard to give up with my nerves and stress
