Oh no, you poor thing. This time of life is so unpredictable. Is it a continuous heavy bleeding? I personally would contact my gyn just to ease my mind. Perhaps someone else here has some more experience and wisdom for you. Stay strong and hold onto the knowledge that you are an amazing human being. ❤

My cycle is very unpredictable. I keep track on a calendar. Going to see GYN next month. I completely relate and that's why I'm here on this site ❤️

Hi Tina! Ugh i am sorry 😢 From what we have researched at my company that is sometimes part of the transition between having a period and going into perimenopause or menopause… I am so sorry you’re going through this, 😔and just to make sure do check with your doctor…!

I don’t have any advice or help but want to let you know your not alone. I have been bleeding for 4 months straight and the doctor doesn’t know why.

I've been bleeding for the past 3 weeks and my GYN said this what happens during perimenopause. Hugs

Same! A few months ago, I think I bled for like 6 weeks. It was terrible.
So, you are definitely not alone! But do see your gynecologist. ❤

Hey Tina ❤ sorry to hear you're having such a crappy time of it right now. I wrote a thing about perimenopause periods a little while ago. I'll try and post a link below in a min... hope it's helpful... ❤

Same! I have about half a week a month that I am not bleeding right now.

I’ve been bleeding , heavy for like a month !!! I’m so over this !

Im so glad I decided to download this app .. all of you ladys have really helped me in so many ways .. I can't thank you enough 😪

This is a really general comment, and in no way takes the place of a proper medical consultation, but it might be worth investigating...
Some doctors prescribe the birth control pill (BCP) for menopausal women if irregular bleeds are a problem. It can help, although is not without the usual risks of BCP.
HRT is a lower dose, and can be body-identical (Bio-identical HRT in USA definition), and can also help with irregular bleeds.
If your bleeds are affecting your life/health, please seek support from a medical professional if you possibly can. You don’t have to put up with this, or ANY aspect of peri/menopause!
KICK MENOPAUSE RIGHT UP THE FOOF! 😁❤

I was doing the same thing my dr put me birth control

I had same symptoms, low estrogen levels cause all these symptoms. My gynecologist increased my estrogen and felt immediate relief. Sorry you are going through this.

I have bleeding that lasts anywhere from 4 days to 3 weeks. And may go a week in between or 2 months.

I turned 50 in July and had zero symptoms of perimenopause but this month I experienced light spotting for two weeks leading up to my normal flow. Today is day six of my period and I’m hoping I can have a few “clear days” but these posts aren’t very reassuring…🙃 However, I am glad that I’ve found an entire community of my people to give and receive support during this new chapter in my life!

My mother told me that she started having periods closer and closer together and then had one that was several weeks and then that was it. Right now I’m in the closet together phase (26-28 days vs 30-31 which was the norm most of my life). But then my mother was done by 49 and I’m 50…

Hi Tina, I also have abnormal bleeding. I used to have a four day period, now it can last up to two weeks with very heavy bleeding and clots. My doctor said it's normal during perimenopause but still wants me to get checked for fibroid cysts. I hope it gets better for you! ❤

There are days when I will go thru a super plus tampon in thirty minutes and do that all day long. I’ve been told I should do an ablasion but have no one personally that can tell me anything about it. I have a walnut size fybroid on one side and a cyst on the other.
