The midwife said I should prepare myself as I might be here up to 1 week? Now I’m confused and scared. I’ve been having small contractions and got admitted 2 hours ago. Were you induced with your first baby? How long did it take for you to go labour?
FTM here and any reassurance is highly appreciated 🙏🏼

You got this ❤️

I got induced with my first at 37+1 on the Tuesday had her at 4:03am on the Friday morning x

Induced with my first on a Monday night, gave birth 8:38pm on the Thursday naturally. Pack plenty for you and partner, if you're allowed to, make sure they swap out with someone else to sleep and eat. Rest as much as you can and remember it's your body, your rules. If you aren't happy with the plan, ask about alternatives and ways to speed things along. You may take to the induction quicker than I did as everyone's different, but it's a long haul thing. If they are that concerned about baby movements also ask about whether it would be best for you to have an elective csection, many inductions tend to end in an emergency csection anyway so it would avoid much of the exhaustion of a long induction. xxx

I was induced 5pm Tuesday, baby was born 10.22am Wednesday. It’s not always super long, but prepare yourself for it just incase! We took lots of snacks and games x

I was admitted Wednesday morning, had a sweep, had another today and still here waiting to be moved to the delivery suite so they can break my waters and get it going

Thank you ladies! They’ve just put the pessary in so fingers crossed 🤞🏽 🙏🏼

How are you getting on ?? ☺️

Congratulations! Xxx
