Anterior Placenta

Hello, I know it is very different for everyone, but I just wondered when people with an anterior placenta started to feel movement? I am 18 weeks at the mo and can’t wait to feel my little man kick. I just like to hear people’s experiences 😊💙

Hey! I'm 21+5 today, I have 2 anterior placentas (twins) and I've been feeling them for a few weeks now. But then last week I didn't feel much...then yesterday I started to see visible kicks on my belly 🤗 my husband saw them too 💕 not long now til you'll see them! X

Avatar

Hey.. I had an anterior placenta I started feeling kicks around 20-21 weeks. It’s worth the wait! 💗💙 xx

Avatar

I was just over 21 and I started feeling movement 😌 I wrote a post on here, few hours later I was led on my sofa and felt a popping sensation down below and just burst into tears (happy of course)🥰x

Avatar

I had this and felt flutters from 16 weeks and then kicks from 20 weeks, literally the day after my 20 week scan when I was told I had it and probably wouldn’t feel anything until 26 weeks ☺️, my fiancé was able to feel them from around 23 weeks but wasn’t very often as they were faint on the outside but when I played music through my phone and sat it on my tummy that used to get her going 🥰

Avatar

From 22 weeks, then it increased pretty quickly. I am 27 weeks and I feel like I have been getting pretty intense kicks (like you can see them from the outside the last 2-3 weeks). I hope that helps! X

Avatar

I was between 21-22 weeks, totally worth the wait 😊

Avatar

I also had an anterior placenta and I didn't start feeling full on movement till about 22ish weeks. This was also my first baby.

Avatar

I felt flutters around 20 weeks and then I was 22/23 weeks when I felt the first proper movement x

Flutters and maybes from around 21/22 weeks but I didn't really start to feel confident in her movement until 24/25.

I felt mine at 19+6 the day of my 20 week scan. I hadn’t realised how far up baby was at that point so started prodding around the belly button and felt some kicks x

Avatar

I felt my baby boy at 20 weeks. He was breech tho with his legs on the side of the placenta

Avatar

I felt mine at 24 weeks! Hang in there and you'll feel it! Also, one positive for having an anterior placenta is that the baby movements probably won't bother you much at night 😁

Avatar

21 weeks with my first baby I started feeling flutters 🥰

Since around 24 weeks it’s been really intense and lovely 💛 She is a little wriggler and it’s the best feeling

Avatar

Both of my pregnancies have been with an anterior placenta, first baby I didn't really feel until 24 weeks, this time round I started to notice them at 20ish weeks. They're getting more noticeable as the weeks go on ! Best feeling

20 weeks for me

Avatar

I felt something on the day of my 20 week scan but it was a very very light tapping feeling very low down for me. Not much since, just little flutters occasionally x

Avatar

I felt flutters at 14 weeks, then nothing till about 18 (a few more flutters) then nothing properly till 22ish weeks. Only till 25 did it start to feel more clear 🙂

Avatar

Started feeling odd kicks and flicks at 21 weeks and then they increased as time went on. I'm now 32 weeks and no consistency to them. Some days he's lazy, others he doesn't keep still.

Avatar

I felt and saw kicks at week 18 :)

Avatar

I could feel them on the outside at 22 weeks but i can’t remember when I actually began to feel them.

Avatar

Avatar

I felt little movements at 19 weeks 😊

Avatar

It is depends on the case. I personally, with anterior placenta, felt movement around 20 weeks. But don't worry! Later on you will definitely feel your baby very strong and often! 😉😅

Avatar

20/ 21 weeks 😅 I was feeling them inside , outside 24 :)

Avatar

18-20 weeks for me and they were very light. When I rubbed my bump in the evenings I would feel him more as I was concentrating and taking time for me 🥰

Avatar

Heyyy I had one and didn't feel anything until 24ish weeks

Avatar

I only had flutters until I was about 22/23 weeks when I felt a light kick but it was a kick that you could easily miss if not paying attention. Then proper felt movements after 25ish weeks x

Avatar

i was about 25 weeks

Hi! I had anterior :) I felt flutters at 16 weeks and didn’t feel full on kicks until 22 ish weeks. My baby slept a lot during the day. At night my partner said he could see her moving all over and kicking up a storm and he was always surprised it didn’t wake me lol

Around 20 weeks I feel like I properly started feeling movement …

I have an anterior placenta, I didn’t fee movements untill about week 22/23. I’m 30 weeks now and feel her move all the time, you will soon feel the big movements the time goes sooo quick! 🥰🥰

Avatar

I’m a FTM and only in the last week have I started feeling proper movements (20/21 weeks) but nothing that my other half can feel yet!

Avatar

I couldn't feel the kicks for ages but the hiccups from about 20

Avatar

Felt him start to move at around 17 weeks which I wasn’t expecting with an anterior placenta. Nothing really strong though, more like a fish swimming about and then bubbles popping every now and then.
Hoping he gets stronger soon, his dad is dying to feel him 😊

Avatar

I felt flutters around 17 weeks and full on kicks at 20 weeks. My son loves to kick me very close to the exit and my husband got to feel him at 20 weeks. I

Avatar

I’m 25 weeks and still only really feeling flutters, spoke to my midwife this weeks and she said it’s nothing to worry about everyone is different so don’t panic ☺️ xx

Avatar

I have an anterior placenta and didn’t expect to feel anything for a while. But I started feeling little movements around 18 weeks which were sporadic and on and off every couple of days, and now at 20 weeks I feel baby everyday wiggling and kicking at around similar times daily.

Avatar

20 weeks x

Avatar

I have an anterior placenta and I started feeling things around 21 weeks xx

Avatar

I’m a FTM and have an anterior placenta 😊 I felt bubble like movements from about 16 weeks and had super strong movement from him until about 28/29 weeks. Now I don’t feel him as much, I’m 34 weeks. He is mostly behind my placenta now. Don’t fret too much. I always found lying on my side with my hand under the bump let me feel him more ❤️

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!
