24 weeks today, at monitoring two weeks ago there was “possible” funnelling and now it’s U shaped all the way to the stitch (McDonald), with 19-23mm below the stitch still closed (hard to tell as cervix was distended due to very full bladder)
Bumped up to weekly monitoring over the next 3 weeks to see what happens and prep for steroids if necessary.
Does anyone have any insight on when they delivered after funnelling to their cerclage? Just want to know how much I should rush to get prepared for baby at home, or if we should be emotionally preparing for NICU.
Our goal has been to induce at 37 weeks for stress reasons, though I want to know if it’s realistic that we’ll be able to keep her in until at least 35 💜
Thanks in advance, wonderful folk 💞

Hello mama. I don’t have an answer for you but if you are on Facebook, ask this question on the TAC page and you will get your answer. ❤️

I'm in the UK and we don't generally measure the cervix too much after the cerclage is in. But when I had my cerclage put in at 15 weeks they actually said I had hardly any cervix left. Well I went to 38 weeks and had a c-section because the damn thing was embedded in my cervix and they couldn't get it out. I had to have an operation post birth to remove it but most of it's still there! So even with not much cervix at all (she said she was shocked to get it in and this was a top consultant) I made it past the 37 week. Do you have progesterone? X
