Our IVF miracle is here - positive induction story!

Introducing Sofia Grace to the group! I was induced at 39 weeks on Friday due to reduced movement. Had the 24 hour pessary at 4pm Friday. 24 hours later I was dilated enough for my waters to be broken. Waited a few hours for a labour ward room to be available and at 2am Sunday had my waters broken and hormone drip started and delivered her with one push 5 hours later!

She was a forceps delivery and I did suffer a 2nd degree tear but this was unrelated to the induction as I developed an infection and had a fever mid labour which sent her heart-rate over 200 so they had to get her out quick. They were going to do an emergency section at 6am but checked and I was fully dilated!

They did say I was on the unusual end of the spectrum to dilate from 1cm to 10cm in 4 hours with first baby but things can happen quickly with the drip! I had an epidural and strongly recommend - I would not have wanted to have a forceps delivery and tear without one!

Good luck ladies - I’ve not slept since 7am Friday morning but can’t stop staring at her! I’ve hugely appreciated this group and look forward to carrying on using it as we continue our journeys xxx

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

normal or infected?

5 weeks post c section , i went at the beginning of the week as my wound had opened completely different area to what’s leaking. was told it didn’t look infected. anyone know if this is normal coming off it, it’s only a little amount at a time

Hi guys so I’m 25 weeks today and I haven’t felt the baby kick at all yet at the scans she’s moving constantly that it’s hard to get the right measurements my first pregnancy was cryptic so I just want suggestions from one worried mother

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?
