in Beaver Dam
Moving to Beaver Dam in August after travel with my ER nurse husband for 18 months
I’m excited to come to Beaver Dam and nervous because I don’t have any friends or family in the area. How do I approach others to make friends without sounding like a weirdo/stalker? It’s easy for me to compliment another mom’s outfit/etc out in public but other than that I get a little insecure. Any suggestions? If I met you out in public-how would you like the conversation to go? Thanks in advance 😊
P.S. The only child I still have at home is our 13 yr old son but I am totally open to meeting moms of all ages-especially those with a great sense of humor-we joke A LOT in our home😄
I feel like trying to make connections organically in public can be really hard. I have younger children so I feel like if I was at a park and my kids hit it off suggesting future play dates wouldn’t be too weird but maybe since you’re kids are older meeting other moms through things your youngest is into (sports, school functions etc) or just trying to connect on here is a good option too
