Would an embryo transfer hurt if I have a tilted uterus or does it make it harder for the doctor to transfer?

My doctor said my uterus is tilted also, but didn’t say it would be a problem. I’m sure lots of us are that way ❤️

I have a tilted uterus also. My first three transfers were absolutely painless, the last one (at a new clinic) hurt a little. I think because the doctor used a too big catheter. Once she swapped to a smaller one, I didn't feel a thing. So, I don't think you need to worry about it. Best of luck!

My uterus used to me anteverted and after having a baby is now retroverted / retro flexed depending on the day 😂
I freaked out and asked my fertility specialist if it matters or changed anything and she said it changes nothing at all :)

I got one as well and had 0 pain in any of my 3 transfers and there was no problem at all. Really just takes seconds.

Well the transfer itself is super short. But before they have to place the ultrasound wand and catheter, then you wait for the lab to bring in the blasto. Finally, depending on your clinic, you lay there after for a bit. All is super quick.

I have a forward tilting and it’s shaped at a right angle, apparently I’m a complex case but I was still in and out within 30mins yesterday with no pain.

I have a retroverted uterus and transfer wasn’t painful at all! Make sure your bladder is full as that helps to flatten and open up your uterus. I was in the transfer room for about 10 minutes and stood up straight away after to walk out of the room! Felt a bit scared to stand up and go for a wee straight away, but currently 7w2d! Good luck xx

Not at all. A lot of women have retroverted uteruses
