Hey ladies haven’t posted in here for ages sorry if this is abit negative pls don’t read if you don’t wanna hear any negativity

So I have a son who is gonna be 3 in November. I have only 1 proper in person friend but she’s 50mins drive from me and her daughter is same age and she’s super amazing person. However other than that I literally don’t have any friends or support network (except my husband) and I just wondered how everyone copes? Do you have have 1 person to talk to is that enough? Or do you have bigger groups that you established before getting pregnant? I struggle to make friends and I dunno how to change this, I really want to make friends that aren’t gonna be mean, or dramatic. Like I want healthy adult friends with trust and kindness I just feel so bad that my son doesn’t have any actual friends, because I’ve not been able to make any friendships with other mums. I was the first in my friend group to have a baby and lost all my friends and I struggle to find anyone that really wants to connect on a genuine level. I live a fairly isolated life living rurally, I quit my job during covid so I am a SAHM but have gone to baby club for almost a year now. 2 times a week. I don’t have family closeby either and my husband works away, I just feel very alone with having no woman friends and overwhelmed with life, currently pregnant with twins, which was a shock. Not really sure what I expect from the post, but if anyone else feels this way just know your not alone 💕

I don't have any friends close by and the ones I do have always seem to cancel on me. 😩 I have found going to play groups has helped me interact with other mums.

Have you made mum friends from play group? Or do you find that the social interaction you get is enough?

Just the social interaction is enough at the moment for me I've only been going for 2 weeks. This app may also help too! Xx

Hi, I'm sorry you feel this way & are in this situation. Please do not blame yourself about your child not having many friends. My daughter has plenty friends at nursery & at her dance class, had she not of been going to those places it literally would have just been me & her all of the time. Once your child starts going to nursery they will make friends of their own, this may even open the door to you making some friends as well🤷🏼‍♀️ To find like minded people its better to get yourself out into the world again & doing things that you enjoy. Best Wishes x

Thought I was the only one.
