Question! I have my diaper bag packed for my little girl. I am going to formula feed and not breat feed. Do i need to bring bottles and formula or does the hospital provide this while in the hospital?? What about diapers wipes??

congratulations! im sure they'll provide bottles they did with my 1st she wasn't latching or eating well so they gave premade bottles. as for diapers they provide all that. the best part you can take them home! so when they first stock up pack it all in your bag, when they come back tell them you need more š wipes are usually like wet cloths

Hospital should provide everything you need for baby. You can bring clothes (I just used theirs till coming home) and things you want specifically like a special lotion but mine had that as well it's just not the best. If you want a special binky you can bring one too. Hospitals usually have a brand they use, mine didn't like them. They give diapers and Wipes are either a dry cloth you wet or a pack of wipes mine changed to actual wipes around my 3rd or 4th. They usually have pre made bottles for baby if you formula feed so it's off with one cap peel open a nipple and screw it on and feed. Every Hospital is different and they change things up too. But if you call and ask the floor they can tell you (I haven't had any since covid but they used to do walk through and show you around) for diapers and wipes my solid advice is watch for reactions so you can catch it early. Every kid responds differently to each brand. If you are changing frequently and notice red switch the brands around. Congratulations!

I think it depends on the hospital as I was told I would only be provided milk if I was intending to breastfeed and couldn't for whatever reason, but if I intended to formula feed I had to take my own. I do intend to breastfeed bur I'm taking a 4 pack of premixed just in case. I don't wanna have to even think about it in either situation. If they provide anything then that's nice but I'd rather be fully prepared

If you're in the UK then bring everything you think you may need!!
They don't provide anything e.g. formula, nappies, disposal pants, etc. Only if it a last resort. Say you don't have anyone to bring you anything. Take nappies, formula and clothes.

They provide all that you mentioned. Bring a bottle though, coz their bottles have a much faster teat flow (becuase they are one-use disposable bottles that come w generic teats) so I had to topup my baby EBM with their bottle and he was choking and sputtering coz it was wayyyyy too fast for a nb. So bring your own teats, at least.
Iām in Australia and they are prepared for emergency births where mum wasnāt prepared so they provide everything, just need to ask. They even provided Terry cloth nappies which I asked midwife for an armful of Terrieās and she taught me how to fold them and fasten them to my baby (I hate the waste of disposables šš»āāļø)

The hospital provides only a certain kind of milk so if youāre planning on having a certain milk Iāll say bring it. But other than that the hospital usually provide everything

My hospital provided ready made formula. They provided diapers too but the wipes were awful. They were pieces of cloth that you had to get wet. Not very fun to use those when baby had non stop poop!! I would bring your own wipes just in case.

thatās because babies skin is delicate and sensitive, they donāt recommend wetwipes for newborns. Most hospitals recommend dry wipes or cotton balls, in water. Thatās why they provide those. I used my own cloth wipes, but if OP wanted to use those she just needs her own thermos w warm water in it

I had to take first infant formula they come with disposable teats and the bottle pre made

My hospital supplied ready made formula. But no diapers or wipes

The hospital should be able to provide all of that, you can always call yours to make sure š„°

flask? Insulated water bottle. Or soup flask Etc.

it depends where you are and even hospitals within the same state will differ depending on a state or private hospital, or birth Center Etc it really all varies

You bring nothing! The hospital has all that and will give you some to take home
