Tilted Uterus?

Hi! I'm a FTM-to-be, due in July. I have a titled uterus (it's never caused me any issues, other than made me slightly prone to UTIs). Just wondering if other folks have the same experience, and what their pregnancies were like. I heard a tilted uterus can make ultrasounds more challenging, because it's harder to see the baby. I also heard it makes your bump less noticeable. Appreciate any shares!

I have a tilted uterus and had no issues with my pregnancy or birth at all. I’ve heard from nurses etc that when your pregnant the baby just pushes the uterus forward anyways 😊

Mine is (was?). Initial ultrasounds were difficult because they were vaginal. My uterus was also off to the left, so that was weird too. But, my ultrasounds came out great. I didn't really show until about 25/30 weeks. But by 7.5/8 months I was obviously pregnant

I have a tilted uterus and it caused no issues for me during my pregnancy. It was actually never mentioned . They did sometimes sturuggle to get a good look at baby during ultrasounds but I always thought it was just due to his position and nobody ever said anything about my tilted uterus :) xx

I just found out I had one today at my smear test! 40% of people do. I had utis in my pregnancy and pp but that's all. Fine birth.

No issues. People couldn’t tell I was pregnant with my older daughter until well into my third trimester. With my second daughter, my bump was more noticeable faster, but it still didn’t seem as big as fast to me as some women get.

I think having a tilted uterus makes it more difficult/painful for them to do cervical checks towards the end of your pregnancy. The good news is that the second time around they were less painful.

i wonder if this is what my doctor means when she says i have an odd shaped uterus 🤔

Mine is tilted too. The only issue I had was my boy was VERY low so towards the end I just had to pee constantly. Was so uncomfortable but dunno if it’s any relation. My birth was grand and only had a slight tear. My ultrasounds were also very clear and my bump stuck out loads! Suppose it just depends on the person. 😊

Tilted backwards....I didn't look very pregnant but that was the only issue I had x

I was curious about this too! I have one that tilts backward too. I’m currently almost 12 weeks and 0 bump so far and my tight jeans still fit (I know it’s still early though).

I’m tilted! Around 9 weeks i felt it shift forward, SUCH A WEIRD FEELING, now at 11+5 i can feel my fundus right above my pelvis and i def have a small bump!

Avatar

What did the tilt forward feel like?! I had no idea we could feel it shift.

well, it woke me up. I felt like i needed to pee, poop, and vomit lol. And i just felt a weird pressure. Idk if everyone feels it, but I’m convinced i did!

how interesting! I’m so curious if I’ll feel that too now haha
