Starting menopause early

I started at 33 and a half though I wasn't officially diagnosed until almost 37 as they kept telling me it was too early. Initially, I felt like I was on the scrap heap 🤦‍♀️ but working hard to change my mindset, HRT has helped massively with my symptoms as I really struggled with the emotional side of it and had terrible anxiety but after trying various HRT I'm starting to feel more like 'me' I'm trying to buy into the 'second spring' and push myself to get out of my comfort zone and make this as positive a change as I can xx

BTW, it's not working yet 🙈🤣 I'm hoping to try and start a book club in January and maybe try and be more sociable 😑 my life is very much my husband and children but between them getting a little older and looking for more independence and the changes with myself I'm going to try to push myself to do more for me... that's the plan anyway!

Gemma my sister has started a book which she highly recommended she says it hilarious with twists and turns wait for it “How to kill your family” I’ve ordered it lol xx

Hi Melissa, I am 43. I totally understand how you feel. Even though, in my head, I feel young, I also feel old! It is difficult to explain but I do find it a little difficult at the moment.

thank you so much for your message. I am doing OK at the moment, which is good. I just dread when the symptoms will come back. Like you I feel young in my head but the menopause is a milestone in life, which has arrived too early! My gp has prescribed me patches. I am a bit worried of using them.
