My husband did this and it bruised whole nipple and didnt help at all 😅 too much suction!! Now I'd take ibuprofen and alternate between hand express and using a cold compress. If I can see the bleb on the nipple I will squeeze it like a spot but that does hurt like a bitch kitty!

I’ve never had my hubby help me like that but if I was in pain, then why not? What helped me was using a hand pump instead of my electric one. Kristen Bell actually had Dax do this for her and it helped-YouTube it. She talks about it.
You won’t know unless you try. What works for some won’t work for others. I’ll say give it a try. Babies suction is very different to an adult suction so it might or might not work. Didn’t work with me

Yes! And they’re “ok” enough to relieve the engorgement. Baby will be much more powerful to remove all of the milk.
Ive done it when im away from babe and pumping wont relieve them all the way, it does help so much!

I saw a video of a mum going through the same and her husband did this for her and it helped her a lot. Xx Edit: Just to clarify, the video was of her talking about it and how grateful she was to her husband for it. Not an actual video of him relieving her lol.
