I’ve been looking at taking advantage of the January sales and getting a travel system. Just wondering what people recommend? I’m torn between getting a silver cross pram or the mamas and papas ocarro?

Following this post as I love the silver cross reef travel system but have yet to find anyone who’s had this who can tell me if it’s actually any good!

I am also very interested in the silver cross reef, we will go and try it out in a few weeks

I've never tried the silver reef system but I ordered the ocarro on Saturday. I booked a free personal shopping experience at mamas and papas where they show you all of the prams and how they work, and you can test them out. It was really helpful. They mentioned their winter sale is on until 22nd Jan so you still have some time to try both x

ah lovely! I’ve signed up to the Emma’s Diary app and they have a great deal on the ocarro at the moment, but not sure how long it’s on for! Did you find the ocarro quite lightweight? I’ve seen a few comments saying that it was heavy which is what was making me hesitant. X

I personally loved the look of silver cross but the bassinet part was soo heavy it put me off! I got Everest occaro!

The Ocarro is very chunky especially when folded and takes a lot of space

i personally dont find this as it folds with the unit on! Also a good recommendation is the oyster! Its very sleek but i just didnt like the colours in it!

I bought the Ocarro in heritage. Got the bundle with the cybex car seat. Love the fact it can close down with one hand in three moves and also buggy lies flat if needed so can suit newborn also.

I agree don't find the ocarro chunky at all it folds really well with the seat on and it's a beautiful pram

@Diane it's actually not chunky at all, it fits fine in the boot of my Ford fiesta and it's sturdy with good suspension and one handed fold x

I can't comment on the comparison but I bought the Ocarro after finding a deal and very pleased with it (based on me pushing it up and down my hallway).
It does feel heavyish but not unmanageable and again, I never compared it to other prams, so might just be how heavy they are?
