New to the area

Hello ladies! My name is Melisa, I am new to the city. My husband and I moved from Minnesota a little less than 3 months ago. I am 27 years old and in need of some friends lol. We don’t know a single person over here and during the winter it’s difficult to get out and make friends. I have two girls 4 and 2. I am a full time stay at home mom! I definitely want friends to set up playdates but also to just chat and hang out. Feel free to message me!

We go to play group at the Family Resource center in the mall and love it!

when is the playgroup? I’d love to go with my 14 month old

sign ups opened today for the 5 week cycle starting next week!
The options are wed, thurs, friday and sat. Play group is 9:30-10:45.
I signed up for Friday with my 12 month old

Oh yeah! I went to the family resource center and they told me about it. Do you know if sign ups are closed??? Is it online only ?

I will definitely have to go check them out!

Keep in touch days

Do people actually make use of keep in touch days ?

Am I the only mom that doesn’t want to be around my family tomorrow? Like at all?

Unfortunately, I’ve been battling with my relationship. I’m a mother of two (ages 1 and 11) and my partner is not the most “thoughtful” person. I feel so unseen, under appreciated and just overall not the greatest. I’d much rather spend the day alone - relaxing than to feel so uncared for on a day that should feel extra special. Am I the only one?

Leaving my husband

, I am so fed up of being the default parent all the time and I am fed up of doing so much of the parenting and household shit. My husband does more than lots of men but I just feel like I would rather be on my own, at least then I would have some time on my own when he has his boys every other weekend. Am I over reacting?

Am I expecting too much from others ?

im sincerely struggling with loneliness during this pregnancy i’ve always struggled with friendships because it’s always one sided , friends who are inconsistent and only reply when they feel like it . It’s draining so i stopped putting in the energy blowing up peoples phone . I was never the type to be like I’m not texting first but after a long time, I realize it’s best for my sanity and mental health because it really all just one side truly and it drains you . I have people that check on me every now and then saying how much they’re there for me & how much they love and care for me and I just don’t feel like it’s sincere. I need you guys to understand if you read this that I’m not asking someone to blow up my phone all day or always hanging out all I can say is regardless of anything everybody picks up their phone everyday these are people that I know who spend time on the phone during the day. I’m just asking for consistency and something genuine .
And sometimes it feels like i’m asking for the world .
I have my husband and I’m truly grateful for that he really is my best friend the biggest support he does everything with me and doesn’t open his mouth to every complain but sometimes I do want a true friend and it hurts a lot .

And I wanna be open to meet new people but it’s a cycle no one replies 😅

Ladies, if you tell your significant other that something they keep saying bothers you, and they continue to say it anyway on multiple occasions, that’s not “just joking” anymore.
Imagine having a normal conversation about food or a restaurant and you mention, “Remember when we had pasta from there?” and his response is, “Must’ve been your other nigga because it wasn’t me.”
The first time may be brushed off as a joke. But after you express that you don’t like comments like that, and he still repeats them, it starts to feel disrespectful, passive aggressive, and unnecessary. What would you do next?

Looking for friends

Heyyy! Trying something new! My husband and I moved out to Kansas about a year ago, he’s in the military and we’re looking for couple friends! We are currently going through some infertility issues, but we know the lord will make it happen at the right time. We’ve been trying for a little over 2 years now. I’m 22 he’s 25 praying this is the month! We’re both very outgoing people and love to be outside or inside. We both play video games, and love boardgames/ card games. We have 3 beautiful puppies. If anyone has any advice for going through infertility I’d love to hear it! Or just any advice in general. 💙
