We’ve decided on the first name of Tilly if we have a girl, but struggling for a middle name. (Our 4 year old is Hope Elizabeth) we thought at first Tilly Jean (after a grandparent) but it then reminded me of “Billie Jean” the song! Please give us some ideas..
Other ideas we’ve had after grandparents is
Tilly Suzanne or Tilly Cristina ??

I really liked Tilly Rose - but my brothers ex was called Milly Rose and it’s a little too close for comfort.

Could you go with Matilda Jean with Tilly as a nickname?

that’s a good point!

Tilly Justine? Kinda mix of all the middle names.

I was going to say may too! First thing that came to mind

Tilly Jayde
Tilly Jules
Tilly Rae

Tilly Jane is cute!

Tilly Zanna
Tilly Joan
Tilly Cristal

Tilly Louise

Tilly Grace
Tilly Jo
Tilly Maeve
Tilly Mae
Tilly Christy

That’s my argument. But my hubby isn’t certain. However if we have a boy he chose that name so think I’m going to go with Tilly Jean for a girl xx

Before I even read the entire thing I was going to suggest Christine. I think tilly Christine sounds soooo cute!

Tilly-Jo👀

I agree with jade. Tilly jane or jean, something that makes it TJ so when she grows up if she wants her friends can call her tj which is a lovely name in itself :)

I think I’m going to stick with Tilly Jean - that little bit of reassurance from you ladies has helped! Thank you xx

Tilly Mae

I think Tilly Jean is lovely - it has meaning and very pretty. I wouldn't have thought of the song until you mentioned it.
Just an idea if you think it sounds to much like Billy Jean have you thought about Natalie or another "longer name" as a first name on paper. Nick name Tilly.
So if saying her full name it will be Natalie Jean but she will always be known as Tilly?

I thought that, along with Matilda. However, I then thought we’ll if im going to be calling her Tilly her whole life, then she may as well just be Tilly Jean. I think I just needed a bit of reassurance that it didn’t sound stupid x

Before I read your notes, I was thinking Tilly Jane.... so close to the grandparent honoring, without the song-sounding reference?

Tilly Lace sounds unique yet pretty....
