So my 8 week old is now out of newborn diapers and in size 1 but when I bought the newborn pampers (because my Walmart was out of Huggies) they didn't even fit. I feel like they have zero stretch whereas the huggies have more stretch. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?

I’ve noticed this too!

I noticed the huggies were a bit bigger too.

Yes I noticed this! Pampers was great when my baby was a newborn but once she put on a lot of weight I found Huggies was better for the width

Huggies are a smaller fit… my son could barely use the NB Huggies but was fine with the Pampers… I’ve continued to stick with Pampers for that exact reason… plus I’ve had more blowouts and leaks with Huggies than I have with Pampers

@Abby really? My baby girl isn't very big she's on the smaller side but for some reason pampers were so tight but the huggies fit her just right. Never had a blowout in the Huggies either.

That could be why too… my boy was born at 7lbs 6oz … he was only able to wear the Huggies NB for about 2 weeks but the Pampers he was able to wear until he was 2 months… but even now at almost 5 months he’s still having blowouts and leaks in the Huggies when I’m forced to buy them … I’ve never had an issue with Pampers

Yes also noticed this! Seems like Huggies seems to be like half a size smaller than the Pampers equivalent

I noticed pampers and hello bello diapers run small. Huggies is great! We have less blowouts - I just make sure I adjust the frills outward on the bum area

Sorry Moms! Which pampers are you talking about? Because I tried pampers baby dry that are smaller than swaddlers. Everything was going great with the swaddlers but now we are having blowouts and I am wondering if maybe I need to buy a bigger size. I tried huggies when he was a NB and we had a lot of blowouts so not sure if I should try them again

I use the swaddlers with blowout protection… if you’re still having blowouts it’s possible you have to size up…

I find pampers run bigger.
We used huggues for newborn then turned to pampers.

I noticed huggies has more stretch as well
