Which Hypnobirthing provider to choose?

Hey ladies 👋🏽 I’m 24 +4 and have recently become a bit more aware on what Hypnobirthing is and how it could help me. I met with a doula today and she uses the wise hippo method. I looked it up and downloaded their free meditation to get a feel for it. I then wanted to know the difference (if there is any) between different Hypnobirthing providers?

I came across the positive birthing company too and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on these or how to choose one?

It feels like there are always so many options and I get lost in knowing what I should be looking out for and how to make a good decision.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽🤍

Hi 👋 I’ve completed the positive birth company digital course and I would definitely recommend it. The course is a series of videos and it’s informative and easy to follow. You also get mp3s with meditation tracks to download, a birth plan and access to a Facebook group where people share positive birth stories. It’s made me more confident in my choices and I’m no longer worried about birth.

I did the one day course with Lulu Winfield it was amazing! Much more than the hypnosis but also practical tools for partners to know for how to best support us during labour and lots of empowering information to remind us of how our body is designed for birth and how we can promote the best circumstances for physiological birth. Will check out the wise hippo method I saw in your post, intrigued!

I have done Positive birth Company’s Digital Course with my sons birth and now with this pregnancy and I highly recommend. It does go over NHS guidelines as it’s located in the UK, so if you’re in Canada or US, there are slightly different practices that you have to adjust for. That said, as somebody who is originally from the UK and located in Canada, I found this the best course as I could connect on that level. Highly recommend!!

Help

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?

Ways to induce labor naturally

Hi All! FTM, Entering week 40 and no signs of labor, no dilation yet. Please share tips and ways to induce natural labor. Induction is already scheduled on week 41 but don’t want to go through that process.

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?

Fed up

Anyone else just feeling fed up in general? I just never feel happy anymore. Wake up dreading what the day ahead of us will be like.
Little one will be 6 week tomorrow
