1 year old sleep schedule

My 1 year old has a following schedule
Wake up 7.30am
1st nap 12-12:30
Then 2nd 16-17:15
He usually goes to bed around 20:30-21:00 and sleeps through the night.
Often cries before every nap. We tried moving the first one many times but seems he always wants to sleep so late. Also if we skip 2nd nap and do bed time at 19:30 he wakes up at 5am .
How's your baby sleeping and what's your schedule??

I mean… if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Our day looks something like this:

Wake up - 7ish
1st nap - 10:30ish-12
2nd nap - 3:45ish-5
Bedtime - 9ish

He still wakes in the night though, can be once, can be 5 times. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it 🫠 x

Is there a reason why you need to change anything? Sometimes babies declare their own schedules based on their own circadian rhythm

sorry to hear that ! Hope he'll sleep through soon. Our has nights when he wakes up but usually it's when he's teething so like 2 days only. Whe. He was 6 months -9 he used to wake up every 30 min every single night. 😩

yes I read about it ! Not really other than we used to have some time for ourselves when bed time was at 7pm back in the days. Now we only have like 1hr and cleaning takes a lot of it. Plus all mum friends I have they do bed time at 6.45-7 so I thought maybe I was doing it wrong

Wow,can u transmit this schedule (habit ) to my 9m who goes to bed and 10 : pm and sleep takes her at 11 :pm ,and will wake up several times in the night (2 or 3 times ..
Then waking up time is 9:00am,then nap at mid day, then another nap will be at 4:00pm and we shall wait for 10 pm or even 11:00pm for her to get sleep again...

I like ur schedule,ur baby is having enough sleep at night for sure

That's a long wake window after 2nd nap! Have you tired any tweaks to help out move it earlier?

it's real long,i have tried and if she does, she will sleep for only 40 minutes and wake up

Thanks for this, looks similar to ours!

We have this schedule:

Wake: 7
Nap: 12-2:30/3
Bed:7

No wakes thankfully! But I think we’re just lucky with a baby who loves sleep! x

That's such a good schedule! I tried 1 nap only but he won't sleep any longer. So I guess that's what he likes 🤨

My baby is 6 months and we don’t have a schedule, it keeps changing and right now he’s going to sleep at 3am, not napping properly in the day time and waking up at 5am, 7am, 10am and stays up after 11am. He slept through the night before. This is so hard 😭

Avatar

our used to slept beautifully up until 6 months old and then from 6-9 would wake up every 30 min so I feel your pain. Hang in there and try different things!

They’re quite long wake windows for his age and it doesn’t sound as though he is getting enough nighttime sleep so he could just be continuously over tired. It’s a vicious cycle 😩
When my daughter was 1 we done 7:30 wake, 1st nap 10:00-10:30, 2nd nap 1:30-3:00 and bedtime at 7pm.
It’s recommended they settle for bed around 12 hours after they wake.
Hope you get some rest real soon!! X

We have 7:30 wake
Nap 1 10:30-11:30
Nap 2 3-4
Bed around 8
Sleeps through the night
This may change slightly each day if she takes longer to fall asleep etc i basically follow wake windows of 3, 3.5 and 4 hours

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

No more naps! 10 month old

For a few days now my 10m old has fought her 2 daily naps. Normally her wake windows were 3-4 hours and she is now eventually napping after a 6 hour wake window. Today was only one nap, she skipped the second one. Used to nap like clockwork so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? Also very unsettled most nights and doesn’t sleep well at all
