My 4 month old son stays awake most of the day too.. I put him on the floor for tummy time with toys, and that keeps him entertained for a while while I get things done. Also, co sleeping is so hard to transition from. When my son was born he slept with me every night. I spent a lot of time waking up with him during the night. But I would just get him to sleep in my arms and lay him back in his bed. And now he sleeps all on his own through the night.
Sooo cute! Yes we are in the same boat
Same here help 😩
My boy only naps on me or in a chair of sorts during the day. If I move him, he instantly awakens. The only way I get anything done in putting him in the playpen with a variety of toys for him to look at. Including a mirror and a sound toy. When he gets fussy I put a handheld paci/teether on his hand. I typically get about an hour of baby free time doing this. Which if you're motivated you can get most of the house picked up (or not 😏). The biggest thing with the chair naps is once you know the baby is sleepy put him in before hand. Our sleep schedule is nap around 9am so I put him in at 8:45. I sit next to him so he's comfortable but I give him the paci/teether and he typically will fall asleep with out any help.
My baby naps better during the day when she’s bundled up well, I think it feels more cozy I guess. I still swaddle her when I can watch her but I have the Merlin sleep suit coming today to try that! Also I noticed if I don’t try to set her down right away or after holding her for too long, she stays asleep better
