My work want me to bring baby in once he’s born (which I don’t mind) but everyone keeps saying the same thing… ‘I can’t wait to hold him…’ and I get that they have all been on my pregnancy journey with me but I’m not up for the idea of playing pass the parcel with my baby!
How do I go about letting them know that I will bring him in but I don’t want everyone touching him..?
I don’t want to offend anyone but so far 7 people want a hold and considering everyone in the office is always sick I’m just not here for it!

I’d make up and excuse as TJ why no one can hold him / touch him but you? Or be honest and upfront you don’t want him to be exposed/ want to limit him being exposed to anything, if they get offended by that then so be it, it’s your baby and his health and wellbeing comes first.

At the end of the day it’s your child you can take lil one in just do it when it’s nap time , I can’t wait to take my lil one in to work as I work in a care home and all his grandparents can’t wait to meet him and have cuddles I try and pop in every week as I’ve had to stop working and they are all so excited x

If none of the above suggestions you could tactfully wear him in a sling and just say he gets unsettled if taken out. That's my plan anyway! Baby wear 😬

this is a great idea! x

Don't worry they will understand if you are nervous, everyone is happy for you and just wants you to enjoy the experience so take lead and tell them. They won't mind at all x
