Has anyone been diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis in pregnancy?

So I am 34 weeks pregnant and been getting bad itching have been sent for blood tests and they think I may have obstetric cholestasis. Having to be monitored. Has anybody had it? How did it affect you? How was labour? They have mentioned they may induce me at 37 weeks.

I had it! I found out at 34 weeks and was induced at 35 weeks. Be prepared when they get the blood results that they’ll want to induce you within a few days. Labor with induction wasn’t bad for me, i wanted to be induced anyway bc it went beautifully with my first.

My sister in law had it, they induced her at 36 weeks. Labor wasn’t bad for her & her son was born 6 lbs, perfectly healthy. He is now 5 months, almost 20 lbs & still perfectly healthy! Good luck!

I’m going in the morning to get my blood drawn and I’m honestly dreading it because I don’t want to be induced early lol my itching just started this weekend and it’s not bad so I’m hoping for the best. Good luck to you!

I just had bloodwork sent off to test for this.... the itch is so intense I’ve been crying all morning bc I can’t make it stop. I’m 36w2d with twin boys. I am waiting to hear back from the dr about something to take or put on to help. Are there any at home remedies I can take?

did you end up delivering early due to icp? I am 30 weeks and just got a call saying my results did comeback elevated and I am pregnant with twins

Ladies please tell me how your symptoms started and what they were. I’m really scared, I’ve had severe itchy belly for 2 weeks (so much worse at night) and itchiness on random parts of my body. I thought it was due to stretch marks but it’s so persistent and wakes me up in the night. I’m 34+1 xx

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
