Cyclogest

I don’t know what is normal or not, I’ve been using for couple of months. The white staining is normal or at least happens to me but it shouldn’t be down your leg. You are meant to push it until you you feel the muscles inside hold it.

I’ve used Cyclogest many times as I’m ivf and currently still on it. I now use it rectally as it’s much less messy, plus it gave me thrush. The white sticky stuff is normal and you should wear a pad to protect underwear but it shouldn’t go down your leg. It does go everywhere though.
If you want to keep doing it vaginally maybe try bending your hips whilst laying down.

I am on cyclogest too, twice a day and have never had it down my leg either, white stuff does come out later but always on a liner.
Discharge when on it can also be very normal for future reference xx

Hello all Thankyou so much for all your replies. no I did not have it running down on my leg . But like when I’m wiping I can feel the stickiness along the butthole and Infront along the outside of vagina and the front bits . I wasn’t ready for it and wasn’t wearing a liner but my panty got stained . I tried to wash with water but it was so sticky . I was concerned if the medication have ooZed out even after I laid for about 40min mins after insertion . I did feel it stick inside my vag until it dissolved but as soon as I got up I felt a rush of discharge coming out on my panty .

Does the medicine get absorbed or should I lay down for longer ?

No that just happens. I also use it reluctantly. I hate it. It’s a messy little procedure unfortunately.

I would say rectally is better and far less messy. I did attempt the other way first but opted against it with the mess. Also I didn't lay down after inserting it, wasn't advised I needed to do that.

I was only prescribed the medicine and didn’t know what to do with it so I googled a video on how to insert. But no one tells you about the side effects and the mess. Thankfully I was wearing my panty otherwise my clothes would have soiled .
I will ask my doc about rectal if that’s possible . Because whatever that white sticky discharge is is so hard to get rid off it’s sticks everywhere like waxy stuff

A liner will help massively, you can use them either vaginally or rectally. The packet should tell you that 😊
It’s messy and not nice but I strongly believe it’s how I am now 12+2 weeks pregnant with my little rainbow baby after 4 consecutive losses, it’s an amazing drug xx

Completely agree and I have a SCH, which is a bleed in my uterus and the drug helps with that and helps prevent it. It’s given for a reason and a small price to pay in the whole journey of IVF
