Hi everyone! Yesterday, I had my first ultrasound, even though everything looked OK with the baby, Dr. also saw what it seems like a big mass? She couldn't really tell what it was... She says it could be a big placenta, which she has seemed before. But I am kind of nervous... This is my 3rd pregnancy, and I never had this before
If anyone out there has seen something like this before, I would really appreciate your input. Thank you all, and best of luck in the adventure of becoming a mommy!!

Adenomyosis? Fibroid perhaps? Was it in the sack or in the womb lining?

Yes, baby is good all normal

in the womb

I thought our placenta wouldn't be formed yet at 6 weeks. I read on the What to Expect app yesterday it's not finishing up until end of first trimester. Confusing! Lol

Is it perhaps a twin that didn't fully form? Or a clot? Did she give you a photo? I say have her follow up often and see if it disappears. If it happens to be a twin that didn't form it will fade eventually. I can't see how it would be the placenta just yet.

inside of sac?

@Mrs. M No, a completely separate mass... Baby (embryo) is perfect, measuring 6 w 4d and strong heart beat... I will see a high risk specialist to determine what is it... Dr. Says not to be concerned đ€đ€đ€ but of course I'm concerned...

could be either adenomyosis or a fibroid Iâd guess - both can be seen on a scan. I was told I had a âsmall sack of adenomyosisâ on a 7w scan and that it wasnât a concern. Hope you get the answer soon :)
