@Alexandra I feel you! We’ve been offering a little bit of formula on the nights it gets really bad just so I can sleep and be human the next day. But I can assure you it makes no difference to their sleep, unfortunately! For us it works though because my husband can do that one and I can rest.
@Caroline this is my first baby so I feel abit helpless, it’s good to know we arent a lot because I’ve been having thoughts about my milk supply not being enough for her and causing her to be all out of whack. This is reassuring. Thank you x
It’s pretty normal newborn behaviour, unfortunately! There isn’t a magical method or product to fix it but they do get better at sleeping with time. I’m going through the same with my 4 week old and we also have a three year old to run after 🫠
@Priya hi lovely, thank you for that information. It’s so weird that she won’t sleep, surely she is tired. I know I am. We are in her 7th week so hopefully this doesn’t last too long.
@Alexandra hi..what you are going through is sleep regression..my baby is doing exactly the same..he is super fussy and just won't sleep, will keep crying the whole day and night and will only find comfort in my arms..I have heard this phase lasts about a weel..it would get better around 7-7.5 weeks
My pediatrician told me to make sure her arms are by her side like a soldier (lol) when you do wrap her. It has worked like a charm for me. Sometimes she is a little fussy but the pacifier helps a lot lol
@Raven you mean wrapping? I have tried it but she can get out of it so it scares me but it doesn’t make much of a difference because she wriggles around
When I swaddle my baby that usually helps with the help of a pacifier lol
Are you swaddling her?
Following cause I have the same issue.
@Caroline yes so have we, I’ve given 2 bottles today to try and reset her with a full belly hoping that was what she needed but nope :( I’m looking to wean off the breast anyway, just not yet ready 😭
