I’m sorry to say this, but I wouldn’t risk it. I would rather spend money on a new one than attempt to salvage it.

My sanitizer also gets a little charred but all I use is hot water and a steel scrubber every 2-3 weeks to get it looking good as new ✌️

I use white vinegar to sort mine out. Could maybe see if that works but not sure if it’s going to be able to save it x

I just ordered a new one. Now I feel guilty and ignorant for using it like this 💔

don’t feel guilty! You’re doing your best. If your baby is fine don’t even sweat it 💜

Little bit of vinegar and it clears right back up! I clean it with that at least once a day

I have that steriliser - Dr Browns I use white vinegar and it cleans it perfectly

This is why I went to cold water steriliser instead

Wipe your new one out with hot water once a week

I went with ‘Milton’ i note your based in the US so im not sure if they have it there but I would recommend it. Over here it’s the brand the hospitals use x

I have this steriliser and you have to descale it maybe every week, other week st most. Fill to the line with white wine vinegar and out on a cycle(without the dry) and the leave it as long as iou can - I usually leave it 12 hours (overnight) - the house and steriliser will smell like a fish and chip shop but it does get rid of the burn. (You will have to clean the machine as well with soap to get the smell out). If you do it often it won’t build up like that

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Bedtime routine

I have a 12 week old and we struggle to get him to sleep in his next to me crib or Moses basket, so he sleeps in bed with us which means we’re struggling to have a bedtime routine as he won’t sleep till i go to bed with him.
Any suggestions please as he doesn’t sleep till around 11/12
