Baby hates pram

My 9 week old boy absolutely hates his pram bassinet. It’s a bugaboo fox 3. When he was teeny tiny he didn’t mind it, but starting about a month ago, he’s really been hating it. There have been a few days here and there when he accepts it, but for the most part when we take it out, he ends up in the sling and the pram turns into a giant empty cart!

We got a sheep insert for it to make it cozier, we tried it with the top down fully down, and with it up. Last couple days have been putting him down for the first bit of his night sleep in there (we cosleep the rest of the night, after the first feed). But nothing has helped!

A friend suggested giving him a break from it for a week or so. Haven’t tried that yet…

Has anyone with a pram hating baby solved this problem? We do love the sling but sometimes my back wants a break!

Starting at 5 weeks my baby decided she didn’t like the bassinet anymore so we put her on the pram seat, laying flat but on a slight incline so she’s got a better view of the world around her and now she loves the pushchair

I dont have the solution but in the same boat so hoping someone else does. She used to like it hoping we get some more use from it before she gets too big!

My first was like this, he got better when it was swapped to the seat but still not amazing, then when we turned the seat to world instead of parent facing he was finally settled in there!

Ours has never taken to the bassinet. Like you, tried her in it in the house and with sheepskin but nothing worked. Eventually we just decided to give up on it and now we just use the car seat in the lie-flat position or the pram seat. Similar to , I think she just prefers to see what’s going on around her rather than being enclosed in the bassinet.

mines been in the pram seat (which can lay flat) from 4 weeks as he hates to lay completely flat and i tilt it slightly, all that money on a travel system and hardly used the bassinet 🙄😂

are you able to use the car seat with adapters for the pram? My little one loves it as she’s up high and can see everything. She also has reflux so it’s much more comfortable for her like this for short periods of time x

I have this problem too, so sorry I can't offer solutions. Up to 5 weeks she was fine, would settle and sleep in the pram and then it just changed overnight. I'm wondering if it's my pram choice (a lightweight one like the yoyo). The reclining seat seems a good option though. Is it something worth asking health visitor or GP about, as to when a baby could be ready?

Hahaha oh my - thank you so much ladies. Looks like we might have to switch to the seat and just recline it! These stubborn babies 😂

@sarah i have a giant bugaboo and I thought maybe it was too spacious, and was kicking myself for not getting a teeny one like the yoyo. But if yours is the same in a yoyo. I dont think it’s pram choice. More like the entire pram experience 😂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
