Huckleberry SweetSpot

Does anyone use the SweetSpot feature on Huckleberry and is it any good? The feeds and sleep tracking are helpful but our 2month old LG’s naps are all over the place… wondering whether to try it. Anyone found it useful?

We started with sweet spot this week as he’s just turned two months, the feature doesn’t work before that. It’s pretty spot on with when he naturally falls asleep anyway but I quite like having the predictability of it - would definitely recommend it!

I pay for the premium version, where it gives sleep analysis too (we’re just 11w, so it’ll be more helpful as she grows). And I find it great, especially with the sweet spot, because it is super accurate in predicting when baby needs to sleep. And our little girl during the day needs a lot of assistance to be able to fall asleep, it gives us a half an hour warning of when a nap is due, it also adapts if they have shorter/longer naps! . I can really see patterns in her behaviour and it’s all linked to sleep!

this sounds great! Sorry to jump on this post but what was her sleep like before? My little girl really fights sleep and naps!

her sleep was appalling! She fought sleep, (she still will only contact nap tbh during the day), but it helps me keep track, we were having days where she would only sleep 8-9hrs, but we are managing 12-15hrs now!! It’a hard to keep track of when they are due sleep when life is so busy! But the app gives you reminders, which is great. I’ve been lucky that she’s slept okay during the night.

thank you!

Thanks for all the replies, very helpful! I always try and record sleep / feeds accurately but sometimes they’re a bit of a guesstimate so hoping that wouldn’t be a problem? And the next challenge will be getting her to sleep in her cot for naps 🙈

It’s been a massive game changer for us! She naps independently more now and we are learning her own little routine from it - she has 4 30 min naps and then one big 3 and a half hour nap a day and she sleeps through the night now! Think she was really overtired before but now seems much happier ☺️

I think it is worth the money, i pay for the premium one and they also analyse your data and give a tailored response with suggested sleep times and wake windows.

Avatar

that’s fab, how old’s your LO? Was she sleeping badly before you used it? Ours is ok at night but I have a feeling from what I’ve read that if daytimes are a bit more successful with naps it improves the nights too.

I lived by this app for naps with my first! For us it was definitely worth paying for the sweet spot feature. We didn’t start using it until she was about 6 months though, so I haven’t got much experience at this age, but good naps = good nights for us, and vice versa

Avatar

she’s 12 weeks today but we have been using it since she turned about 9 weeks old! Yeah she used to sleep awfully, about 8 weeks old I got an hour one night and looking back she was just extremely overtired. Yeah 1000% it makes such a difference, I used to think she slept too much but honestly they are meant to nap between 3-5 hours a day ☺️ even the feeding logs help as I realised when she drinks 5 bottles in the day she won’t wake up for a feed at night time

Avatar

can you share some screen shots so we can see? It’s so expensive so unsure if it’s worth it! 👎🏽

Avatar

screenshots of what? It just tells you one nap at a time when he’s next due at the top of the front screen

Avatar

you click start when the baby goes to sleep and stop when the baby wakes up and it calculates a “sweet spot” for when the next nap is due based on ideal wake windows for their age. It gives you a warning so you can put the baby down before they start getting over tired and miss the window.

I used the plus subscription last time which is only about £50 for a year and I found that gave me everything I needed. I stopped using it when my daughter got into a set time 2 nap routine when she was about 1 and started nursery, so to me it makes sense to pay now to get the benefit of a full year 😊

Okay thank you guys!! Xx

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
