Ur body can do it! And a lot of the times those ultrasounds are off but from what I heard ur body will not make a baby you couldn’t physically birth

I had a 9lb 2oz baby and I’m a fairly small human at 5ft2 🤣 you can definitely do it! ❤️

My first baby was 9lbs3oz :) I stayed mobile through labour and moved into whatever position felt best and he came out just fine :) bigger babies aren’t always a problem to birth as long as you don’t lie on your back to maximise the space within your pelvis. Also what said is right- your baby won’t grow a baby which is too big for you to birth as long as you stay active and listen to your body

My niece and nephew one was 10lb 8oz and one was 9lb 5oz so I’m expecting to have a big baby in January and they had both been vaginal birth x

My girl was expected to be bigger than that but was actually 9lb 1oz in the end with a head in the 98th percentile. The head side was more of a concern for me than the weight 😂. She was birthed vaginally, I did have a tear but it healed perfectly. It hurt for a few days but nothing major and if I used my ring cushion when sitting it was totally fine. HIGHLY recommend a ring cushion

My husband was nearly 10lb and a vaginal birth (back then they didn’t do all these scans so no idea of his size until he was born!) also scans are notoriously wrong about weight so try not to stress

My little rascal was measuring 7lb5oz a week before he came then he came out a whopping 9lb9oz. It was a shock to say the least and I had forceps but yes your body can do it and yes your body will go back to how it was. Don’t worry about the weight just concentrate on you and you beautiful bubba x

My almost 4 year old was 9lbs 4oz and I’m only 5ft lol you got this mamma!! I have faith in you!!!

Avatar

Also remember that growth scans have a 15% margin of error, so your baby may not be as big as the scan shows. I was induced as my boy was measuring barely 5lb but ended up being 6lb 6oz.

There’s like a 20% margin of error on weight on ultrasounds in the third trimester

The body can do amazing things!

I was told I was looking at. 9lb baby and 5ft 1 ….got scared and had. C section …. He came out at 7lb 2 ! X

I had my baby 4months ago and he was 9lb 13.5oz you can do it. I was sooo scared because I was told my baby’s weight Vic ultra sound too!! But your body can do it xx

Avatar

Remember that ultrasounds are just estimates and generally wrong! My sister measured at 9lbs 7 oz and was 8lbs 1oz. My brother measured at 8lbs 10oz and was 10lb 14 oz (delivered vaginally). My best friend was 11lbs 8oz delivered unmedicated vaginally. Your body can do this mama!! You got this!

I had two 9 lb babies and both were natural births! Don’t stress too much!!

Avatar

My boy was 10lb2, natural birth and no pain relief. You have gravity on your side! Take to UFO positions. You’ve got this!! Good luck x

Thank you so much ladies. this is really helpful 💙

My youngest was 9lb4oz at home in the bathroom not a planned homebirth 🤣🤣

Avatar

Just bare in mind they get it wrong all the time! May well not be that size, my little girl was only 7lb on the ultrasound the day before she was born🙄 Born 8lb 2oz

Avatar

I had a 9lb 9oz baby at 41 weeks with no complications and no stitches. He was far easier to birth than his 8lb 6oz brother who was back to back!

Your body can do it. Also, gravity is your friend with slightly larger babies - don't do it on your back!

I was 11 lbs 6oz. My mom was induced 3 separate times and it didn't work so they had to do a C-section. That probably isn't super comforting, but both my mom and I were super healthy and fine afterwards. Whatever happens, you go this!

I was due on April 2nd and baby boy arrived at 39 weeks after a positive induction on gas and air, too late for an epidural and 48 minutes in labour. 💙

magnesium glycinate! i’ve been taking it nightly with my prenatals and i have not had any of those brutal charlie horse leg cramps at night. i had quite a few my first pregnancy i didn’t take magnesium and im now almost 37 weeks with my second and have had none! it also helps me actually get some sleep at night. soo worth it!

Suspected Food Poisoning

I'm currently 28 weeks and away on holiday. Yesterday I made the mistake of eating a hot dog from one of the all inclusive trucks that are dotted around the pool areas (I know dumb choice). After about an hour I got super nauseous and uncomfortable. I tried to rest it off but it just lingered, I felt lethargic and went down for some dinner, I got as far as eating two pieces of cucumber and I couldn't put my finger on the feeling but my stomach was uncomfortable and I felt like crying - I didn't feel well at all. After attempting the third bit of cucumber I darted for the toilets as I felt sick or maybe needed to open my bowels (which I already had an hour before and it was normal). Anyway, turns out it was both. I vomited a large amount and went to the toilet multiple times. I cleaned myself up and sipped fresh water for a couple of hours before going to sleep. I also managed an orange and a couple of dry non sweet biscuits. I haven't visited the toilet overnight again but my stomach does occasionally get a wave of nausea. Baby has been active all evening through this, was active at night for a bit and seems to have started some wriggles this morning. Do I need to go find a hospital/maternity unit and get checked or do I just wait and see how I feel today? I'm hoping being able to hold something over night is a good sign. I also have gestational diabetes so am a little worried about my blood sugar dropping or not keeping it steady. Any advice would be appreciated.
