Weighed hula hoop after c section

I’ve had a weighted hula hoops for years (just a normal weighted one, not the one with the links) and I’m wondering when it would be safe to start using it again after having a section?

I recently had my 2 months check at the doctor, who didn’t really check anything, but I assume I’m okay to exercise again.

Before I get told off for this post - I know my body has grown a human and it can take months to get back to normal, I’m not trying to rush anything and it’s not a vanity thing to try and lose weight. I just want to strengthen my core again and do something I enjoy.

Has anyone hooped after a section? Or have any advice?

I think you can go back to regular exercise you did pre pregnancy after 12 weeks? And then if starting anything new to wait a little longer.
I started doing my YouTube workouts after 12 weeks. Just don’t push yourself too hard, I can imagine it might be sensitive due to the nature of the movements you’d be doing.

Yeah, you’ll be fine. I started running at week 7/8 (I had an elective section though and no complications).

Can’t see why a weighted hula hoop will hurt, you are all healed up x

Check for diastasis recti (how to is on Google) and if that's fine and there's no pain when you press on and around the scar, it should be fine at this point (post 2 months). Don't over do it when you start back up, you'll probably have to work back up to the amount of time you used to. I have the links kind and started/got it around 6 months.

Thanks girls! I’m going to give it a go and see how I get on.

have you found it’s helped your core and waist?

Maybe a little. It's just a piece of my workout rotation. I feel like I almost use my legs more to move it.

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
