Feeling worried!

I turn 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I work with a colleague who knows I'm pregnant, she keeps talking about how she's going to come over baby cuddles etc.
To my shock, even though we have been working together for several days at this point, the other day she tells me she has been suffering with shingles.
Which could explain why I've broken out into spots all over my shoulders and back and been extremely itchy to the point where I have not been sleeping!

Now I'm not going to get angry with her just yet until I know what it is for definite but has made me feeling extremely worried and caused my anxiety to increase immensely!

I'm currently getting ready to go see my midwife who has insisted I see her and is fitting me in at the end of her surgery hours.

You can't catch shingles from shingles..but you can catch chicken pox from shingles. So depends on if you have had chicken pox before as to whether your spots are linked to her having shingles? It is possible but unlikely to get chicken pox more than once. You would have had to rub up against her shingles to be infected directly by her though.

I had them as a kid from what I remember, I'm hoping that it's just a coincidence but I've read that people with shingles are meant to stay away from pregnant people.
This is why I don't want to jump to conclusions and I am hoping its unrelated as we are friends are outside of work as well.

I think the fact that the midwife was like 'see me today, ill stay behind for you!' Attitude has got me worried slightly as I was only expecting to see my GP who might have recommended a soothing cream etc.

It's just been a rough week as earlier, 3 of my husbands colleagues had covid and still came into his work and they share lab equipment (although my husband is always very careful and disinfects after handling shared equipment anyway due to practices at his work place) but he was unwell for a few days and so we had a covid scare in our house and now with these spots and itchiness... its a lot!

So, they seem to think it's chickenpox, had viral swabs done so waiting for a call back from the virologist

No, it turns out it wasn't chickenpox. Had to be referred to dermatology as not sure what it was but no clear answers yet but is now dying down

Anyone else full of doubts now?

Hi all,
I'm just going to preface this by saying I've not enjoyed pregnancy at all and I've felt super guilty about it the whole time. The third trimester is just really taking its toll on me though, I've got awful pelvic girdle pain which I've had for at least the last 5 weeks (I'm currently 37 weeks), I'm tired, I'm irritable and I'm feeling really down about my appearance at the moment. I've put on quite a bit of weight and I hate looking at myself in the mirror now.
This last couple of weeks I've just been feeling so full of anxiety. This was very much a planned and wanted pregnancy (it's my second pregnancy, my first ended in miscarriage) but I'm not a maternal person at all, I've never had an interest in babies and I'm terrified I'm just going to be a useless mother. I don't have my own mum to help me or guide me, I lost her when I was little and my dad never remarried so I feel like I've never even had a good female role model.
I'm just starting to panic that I'm about to ruin my life and my relationship and wondered if anyone else is feeling this way. If it's just nerves because I'm so near the end now. I want more than anything to fall in love with my baby as soon as I see them but I'm terrified I'm going to feel nothing and then feel like the worst mother on the planet.

Anxiety overload

U am 18 weeks pregnant and not felt anything yet. I've also not really got a bump (just look like i have gained weight)
How do you know all is fine other than not bleeding! I am pregnant after loss so anxiety is high anyways.
Any advice would be helpful 🙂
