Is 6 week check up Necessary?

I was told I didn't need it unless I was worried bout anything, my surgery is a nightmare tho, pretty sure they make up the rules to suit themselves xx

They ask how you’re doing as a new mum, mentally, physically etc. I was given my contraception at that point (I already knew what I wanted). Then they checked my weight & baby’s weight etc xxx

If they're also checking your baby I'd say it's important to go. My gp checked my baby's hips and noticed a hip click so now we've been referred to get an ultrasound

the hip thing.....my LG was breech from 24 weeks so they were really worried about her hips, we had 3 different ultra sounds over 6 weeks then got referred to the children's hosp, but I can't recommend tummy time enough, tuck there legs up under their stomach and let them kick them bk out, worked wonders for us xx

I would say 100% necessary for baby but for mum i found it abit usless tbh
