Hi everyone, I’ve heard it’s a good idea to have some stool softeners at home to help postpartum. Was anyone recommended a certain brand or type by their care provider?
(Slightly terrified of laxative urgency + stitches combo 😵)
Thanks!

For my last two babies I purchased Metamucil tablets and started taking them the day after delivery and had no issues :)

I've been on Coloxyl prior to birth because I had some constipation issues. It worked pretty well with keeping me on the softer side. I spoke recommend going to your gp though and seeing what they say.

Try Movicol, best stool softener.
it helped me a lot

Try magnesium supplements at night time. They help soften the stools and have added benefits.
